In the article there is a presentation of PERT method in calculation of production tasks beginning time. Main aim was to point out activities which determine production’s beginning in convergent production system.In analysis there was an usage of complex systems theory and there were several stages of decomposition into single production streams. In the work there is a presentation of a model which sets the moment of production processes beginning in a production structure which is characterized by high level of processes’ repetitions with different production parameters.

Istnieje wiele różnych metod oraz technik poprawy przepływu materiałów w celu zwiększenia produktywności i wydajności systemów wytwórczych. W artykule zostały przedstawione wybrane propozycje usprawniające procesy przepływu dla przykładowej konwergencyjnej struktury wytwórczej. Zaprezentowane cząstkowe wyniki są rezultatem badań struktur produkcyjnych, które charakteryzują się zwinnością i elastycznością. Ze względu na customizację wyrobów finalnych rozpatrywany układ wytwarza swoje produkty jedynie zgodnie z zasadą MTO (ang. make – to – order). W takiej strukturze dla odbiorców najważniejszy jest czas realizacji zamówienia, dlatego głównym kryterium oceny braku efektywności były występujące przestoje.

Many methods and techniques exist for improving the material flow and increasing productivity and efficiency of manufacturing systems. This article discusses a selection of proposals for improving the flow of a convergent manufacturing structure model. The fragmentary results presented are a result of examining the production structures displaying swiftness and flexibility. Due to the final products customization options the discussed line manufactures its range exclusively in the MTO (make – to – order) strategy. For customers of such a structure order execution time is paramount, which is why the main criteria indicating low efficiency were the occurring stoppages.
