The article presents the process of handling participants in road traffic accidents by the police privileged vehicles. The following research tools were used to conduct the study: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison) and practical (method of ordering, observation, direct interview). The analysis of the number of road accidents in the Opole Voivodship between 2010 and July 2016 with particular focus on the handling of road accidents under the current research was conducted. The improvements to this process have been proposed as a result of the analysis.

The study was conducted in a manufacturing company. The publication discusses the methodology for designing the production process using decision tables. The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the use of decision tables in production design. Production, as the main link that adds value to manufacturing companies, is the most important process within the organization. The ability to make decisions, in terms of the production process, is related to the development of the enterprise or lack thereof. Help is needed in making decisions, which should have the best effect on the functioning of the whole company and generate the highest profits. Decisions at the production stage are crucial to the operations of the whole company.

The Japanese 5S method is the basis for optimizing processes in the enterprises. An example of the practices in the logistics enterprise is presented. These practices are an important prerequisite for successful work in the enterprise and have a positive impact on the implementation of the 5S system and other methods. 5S contributes to the development of the learning organization with employees. 5S practise is one of the techniques to improve quality and safety and health at the workplace. It was first popularized by Taiichi Ohno, who designed the Toyota Production System and Shigeo Shingo, who also put forward the concept of poka-yoke. The article presents Lean 5S methodology and selected results of research on performance and interference, before and after implementation of the 5S method in the logistic enterprise. The purpose of this paper is to implement the 5S and principles to assist manufacturing organisations to become more efficient and more productive. The case study presented in the paper will be useful to researchers, professionals and others concerned with this subject to understand the significance of 5S and Lean.

Uwzględniono ich wpływ na łańcuch dostaw. Wzięto pod uwagę przebieg procesu transportu wewnątrzzakładowego. Opracowano uogólniony model oceny organizacji i kosztów transportu wewnątrzzakładowego na przykładzie Huty Małapanew Sp. z o.o. w Ozimku, w celu wskazania możliwości usprawnienia procesu transportu wewnątrzzakładowego pod względem organizacyjnym oraz obniżenia całkowitych kosztów transportu.

This paper presents the process of movement of material resources in the production of steel. Transport processes in the metallurgical enterprise were described. The authors took into account their impact on the supply chain. The process of internal transport was also characterized in the article. A generalized model assessment of the organization and the cost of internal transport were presented on the example of Malapanew Steelworks in Ozimek (Poland). It was essential in order to identify opportunities for improvement of the internal transport in terms of organization and reduce total cost of transport.

The analysis of the research problem started from listing the issues of decision theory and the decision-making process that support the process of building decision trees. The area in question covers a procedure for building and proceeding when creating decision trees. The solution to the research problem consists in defining decision variables and arranging them into logical statements by writing down all possible variants and only accounting for the true ones. True solutions derived from coding were detailed and the number of occurring decision trees was calculated in the case under consideration. The decision problem was presented in the form of decision trees, which made it possible to select the optimum decision tree. The obtained results were considered and the optimum decision tree was chosen. At the same time, the record of decision variables was analyzed, providing the answer as to which courier company will best meet expectations of entrepreneurs and ensure the most satisfying cooperation. That company turned out to be K-EX. The article aimed to select a courier company from the perspective of online retailers, with the selection having been made using the method of decision trees based on four basic criteria defined within the research.

Scharakteryzowano technologie i rozwiązania zabezpieczające pracowników i środowisko przed niekorzystnym oddziaływaniem materiałów niebezpiecznych składowanych w magazynie. Dokonano charakterystyki amoniaku. Przedstawiono procedury postępowania w strefie zagrożenia na wskutek wycieku płynnego amoniaku ze zbiorników lub rurociągu.

The article analyzes active and passive safety systems in the storage of dangerous materials. The authors present the classification of dangerous substances in appropriate classes. Technologies and solutions that are used in warehouses for treating hazardous materials in order to make them harmless to the environment and to employees are characterized. The authors also make description of ammonia. The article presents emergency procedures in the case of leakage of liquid ammonia from tanks or pipelines.

This article describes the problem of empty mileages, which occurs currently in many transport companies. Each company has its large customer base and often a lot of transport orders, but it is not the only factor affecting the fluidity of the transport process. It is essential to have well organized the spedition department along with the IT systems. Many transport companies apply modern technologies and innovative solutions, but these companies do not have a solution to solve the problem of empty mileages. The aim of this article is to propose changes, which could minimise empty mileages in the researched enterprise.

Choosing the right supplier is the key issue for any modern enterprise. It can also be said that it is one of the important problems with which logist has to deal with. The article presents the technical analysis of the ERTMS/ETCS system as a unified control system, implemented on railway lines in Poland. The presented perspective of system development, its architecture and its application in the present developments of the railway market, shows the possibilities of the interoperability of railway lines of various boards. The essence of the European Train Control System (ETCS) was discussed at Levels 1, 2 and 3. A brief description of the system implementation in Poland was made, taking into account the construction and maintenance costs.

W artykule zaprezentowano system Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), innowacyjne rozwiązanie transportowe, wdrażane w nielicznych aglomeracjach miejskich. Scharakteryzowano przykłady rozwiązań BRT na świecie. Zidentyfikowano kluczowe wskaźniki w zakresie BRT. Wdrożenie BRT połączone jest z osiąganiem istotnych korzyści, do których należą: szybkość realizacji inwestycji na etapie projektowania i wykonawstwa, w porównaniu z innymi rodzajami transportu, stosunkowo niskie koszty inwestycji i koszty eksploatacji, a także możliwość połączenia z już istniejącą siecią drogową, co wykazano w publikacji.

The article discusses the characteristics of agile supply chains with disturbance analysis. One of the assumptions in the flow of goods is the concept of agile supply chain. In order to effectively manage supply chains and maintain an appropriate market position, it is necessary to define possible interruptions. The paper presents the results of research concerning the influence of hot plastic working parameters on the deformability and microstructure of a Ni-Fe superalloy. The research was performed on a torsion plastometer in the range of temperatures of 900-1150°C, at a strain rates 0.1 and 1.0 s-1. Plastic properties of the alloy were characterized by the worked out flow curves and the temperature relationships of flow stress and strain limit. The structural inspections were performed on microsections taken from plastometric samples after so-called “freezing”. The stereological parameters as the recrystallized grain size, inhomogenity and grain shape have been determined. Functional relations between the Zener-Hollomon parameter and the maximum yield stress and the average grain area have been developed and the activation energy for hot working has been estimated.

W artykule przedstawiono główne bariery rozwoju przedsiębiorstw transportowych wraz z krótką analizą stosowanych rozwiązań. Zaprezentowano specyfikę prowadzenia działalności transportowej i procesy dostosowania się do rynku decydujące o konkurencyjności mikro- i małych przedsiębiorstw transportowych.

Transport in logistic is the activity directly responsible for the cargo movement between fixed network elements and logistics systems, such as factories, warehouses, retail outlets. The following article is a discussion of the major barriers to the development of transport companies and a brief analysis of the solutions. The paper presents the microenterprises and small enterprises of transporting services especially in international transport of loads and processes deciding about competitiveness of microenterprises and small enterprises.
