Today the amount of information available in the world is so large that it exceeds significantly the perceptual capacity of a man. The progress of science and increased access to the media, in particular to the Internet, allows an increasing number of people to create and publish their own content. Refer to the information that can be found in our area of interest is limited to read a very small part of the works on the topic. What’s more the overlooked information can be very useful, but selective viewing of the contents and limited time resources prevent the users to meet their information needs. An attempt to solve this problem are multi-agent systems, using intelligent methods of retrieval and processing of information.

IT companies try to establish new standards of data management as well as create mobile applications extending the functionalities of existing systems to enable the users to benefit from the newest technological advances. The paper presents a review of the known mobile application vulnerabilities for the two most popular mobile platforms, Apple's iOS and Google's Android, and proposes the secure development model to overcome the existing threats faced by mobile application developers.

The security aspects of cloud computing, especially the security of data, become more and more important. It is necessary to find and develop the new mechanisms to secure the cloud. The problem presented in the paper concerns the mechanisms for security of cloud computing with special attention paid to aspects of access control in clouds – the state of the art and the perspectives for the future.

More and more transactions are conducted on-line as well as more and more critical information is being kept on local or remote servers in huge databases. The purpose of presented paper is to analyze and propose the solutions used for the security of sensitive personal data and access to such data provided by the platform chosen for research with respect to the real-life needs of the developers and end-users. The main focus are put on the solutions provided by the .NET platform which next to Java is one of the most commonly used programming environments for both web page and desktop applications.
