The paper presents application of a new method for studying the crushed rocks by means of automatic electric resistivity recording system. The prototype of press with the co-called percolation bomb designed for experiments on crushed rocks is described. The electrodes of the automatic recording systemfor resistivity measurements are intalled within this bomb. Samples of crushed calcium carbonate rocks of various grain size were examined. Analyzing the course of resustivity versus it was possible to distinguish the following types of events: avalanche, stepwise and impulse-type events of varying amplitudes and duration (from micro- to macro-impulses). The applied method expands the scope and improves the accuracy and reliability of studies of percolation and dynamic processes in rock; the results corroborate a threshold nature of these processes. The obtained results can be helpful for analysis of the observed dynamic events as monitored by resistivity measurement as water dams. Further experiments may be also helpful in studies of precursory phenomena prior to earthquakes.

Bedrock monitoring under the Czorsztyn-Niedzica dam by the electric resistivity and the measurement system applied are described. Analysis of data has been made for periods of the dam construction, testing and daily operation procedures including also inundation water waves.

Preliminary report on the electric resistivity measurements in situ of the bedrock beneath the Czorsztyn-Niedzica dam is presented; an analysis is related to the period of filling-up the water reservoir in 1993-1996. Description of the four-electrode measurement system and the equipment is accompanied brief geological information. In theoretical part, some simple two-layer models of water percolation from reservoir bottom are presented. Numerical calculations of rock resistivity are made and compared with the experimental results obtained in the boreholes under the Czorsztyn-Niedzica dam.
