Results of well-logging and petrophysical researches of Maykop series of Kerch Coastal shelf productive sediments of Black sea water area are submitted. There were determined the conditional values of reservoir and petrophysical characteristics of the rocks. The thin-layer bed model in the form as a `reservoir-cover' on the basis of geophysical researches data is offered. On the data of neural-networks modeling the vertical zonal distribution of productive deposits in the boreholes of exploratory wells is shown.

Аll the difficulties that geophysical methods have in studies of deposits represented by frequent alternation of thin beds are well known. Because of the low vertical resolution of well logging with large radius it is very difficult to do the quantitative and qualitative geological interpretation of weak anomalies. The developed new scientific and methodical approaches аllow us to solve those problems quite effectively — to determine productive thin-bedded stacks. And also using new approaches it is possible now to determine capacitive characteristics of single lithological strata within thin-bedded stacks. For technologies creating artificial neutron net- works on the basis of reference data have been used to calculate the continuous vertical probabi1ity curve of gas-saturated layers and reservoir bed presence irrespectively of subsurface geology complexity. It should be noted that all those new technologies have successfully passed approbation for Neogene gas-bearing deposits of the Precarpathian foredeep and are based on using standard complex of well-logging methods.

Collaboration between Ukrainian and Polish geologists contributes to the substantial extending of knowledge about deep geological structure of the north-western part of the Pre-Carpathian depression, determination of geological structure of Sambir cover border area of the Pre-Carpathian depression and determination of the main trends of regional geological and prospecting works on oil and gas with the purpose of establishing oil-and-gas bearing prospective of deep structures. It will allow to define new strategic trends of exploratory and prospecting work on oil and gas within one of the oldest oil and gas engineering regions of Ukraine. Within this collaboration а joint scientific project of the Ukrainian geologists with the geologists from the Staniskaw Staszic University of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow and Oil and Gas Institute (Poland) is being conducted in the border area of Ukraine and Poland, in the Ukrainian part of the Pre-Carpathians bending (Sambir cover) and the Polish Carpathians. As а result of common research the deep geological structure will be specified, prognosis of traps for oil and gas at depths beyond 5 km and their possibility of oil-and-gas bearing.
