W pracy zaproponowano szereg kryteriów pozwalających na automatyczne tworzenie modeli sygnałów czasowych, Możliwość utworzenia modelu sygnału w oparciu o krótki fragment przebiegu w dziedzinie czasu i uzyskanie na jego podstawie odpowiedzi układu w dziedzinie częstotliwości pozwoliło na znaczne przyspieszenie analizy obwodów mikrofalowych o dużej dobroci.

The work introduces several techniques, which allow one to create high quality models of time domain signals produced by the finite-difference time-domain method. Guidelines for automated selection of key model parameters such as the length of training sequence for model building and the model order are given. The application of the criteria for extraction of time signature features based on the initial time sequences proposed in the work was illustrated on several microwave passive components.

New approach to computer aided design of coupled resonator filters

A gradient based optimization technique along with a new definition of cost function is applied to synthesis of coupled resonators filters. The cost function is defined using location of zeros and poles of the filter's transfer function. The topology of the structure is enforced on each step of optimization and its physical dimensions are used as independent variables.

Low order autoregressive models for FDTD analysis of microwave filters

The forward-backward autoregressive (AR) model is applied to extract time signatures generated by the FDTD algorithm. It is shown that using simple techniques of model parameters selection one is able to reduce the model complexity for low and medium Q circuits.
