It is known, that level of the power consumption at the transport vehicle movement is defined by aerodynamic quality of the streamlined surfaces, transverse size of the apparatus and its motion velocity in atmosphere. Herewith, because of phenomena in accordance with separation flow, the significant losses of energy appear at the gas currents around bluff-body element of constrictions. The Traditional methods of the prevention of flow separation zone are connected with problem of optimum profiling of aerodynamic vehicle surfaces. However this often brings to the growth of sizes and weight of the transportation system. One of the ways of aerodynamic features variation without body form change is based on the using of surface discharges plasma [1]. The surface discharges can change viscosity in the gas flow and create the directed stream in near-wall layers [2-3]. In the paper are presented studies experimental results of the processes of the surface discharge action on air stream near cylindrical bodies. The possibility of the aerodynamic drag coefficient reduction (on 20-40%) is shown. By Methods of the voltage-current features, is determined level of the discharge power consumption and it is executed collation its values with magnitude of the reduction of the aerodynamic drag, which exists under discharge plasma influence. The dependency of the energy advantage connected with action of the Non-Arching Surface discharge is considered, when parameters of the electrodes system change at the flow velocities -10...30 m/s.
