The purpose of the work was to determine the infuence of the bulk density ρz of granules, processing parameters and the density of ski inserts ρw made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) on their damping properties. For this aim liners for ski helmets with 3 different bulk densities were made. Sintering time and sintering pressure were also changed. The percentage damping factor η was determined on the basis of the results obtained in the rebound resilience test. Based on the analysis of the obtained data, it was found that increasing the density of EPS pads ρw increases their damping properties and at the same time contributes to a decrease in elasticity, increase in hardness and brittleness of EPS products.

Artykuł opisuje w skrócie standardy zarządzania sieciami, czyli SNMP i TMN oraz perspektywy ich rozwoju. Przedstawiono również nowe techniki, które pojawiają się w dziedzinie zarządzania i przewidywane możliwości ich zastosowania. Część dotycząca protokołu SNMP zawiera m.in. historię tego protokołu, podstawowe dokumenty składające się na jego definicję oraz podstawowe możliwości. Opis TMN składa się z krótkiego przeglądu standardów i zaleceń oraz podziału na obszary zastosowań. Artykuł zawiera również opis aktualnego stanu aplikacji zarządzania w obrębie sieci komputerowych i telekomunikacyjnych. Przedstawiono również nowe trendy w zarządzaniu tj. zarządzanie przy pomocy WWW i możliwości budowy systemów zarządzania w języku JAVA.

The papers present description of network management standards - SNMP and TMN together with possibilities of their development. New techniques, appearing in the management domain, and their possible applications have been described. The description of SNMP protocol contains short history, basic documents defining the terms of SNMP and general functioning. The TMN description contains short standards and recommendation review together with usual function area partitioning. The article contains actual state of management applications within computer and telecommunication networks. New trends in management was also described: utilization of WWW in management and development of management systems using JAVA approach.
