The paper presents possibilities and limitations associated with technical state predicting procedure of devices, as well as it indicates the necessity of improving the present scheduling methods of preventive maintenance operations of ship power plant devices. It has been also showed that by making transformation of the wear rate distributions of device elements into the distributions of time of their correct- to-limit-state operation it is possible to predict their technical state and to suitably schedule their maintenance operations.

W pracy przedstawiono sposób określania stanu technicznego obiektów, wpływ oddziaływań wymuszających na ich stan techniczny oraz ogólne modele matematyczne opisujące zmiany stanu technicznego, które można zastosować na różnych etapach eksploatacji obiektów, zwłaszcza statków i ich urządzeń.

Planning of preventive maintenance of the object demands of actual control of its technical state. The changes of technical state of the object during its operation are caused by destruction and renovation influences. Two kinds of processes are specially important: the first - wear processes which exist during operation of objects and the second - ageing processes as the effect of time elapsing. The paper presents the methods of mathematical determination of technical state of object by means of two coefficients: the first - which takes into account the changes of technical and economical properties of the object connected with wearing of its elements and which cause the changes of values of control parameters; the second - which takes into account time elapsing from the beginning of object operation. Control of velocity changes of technical state of objects by using of diagnostic system gives the possibilities of determination of their time to achieving of limit state and proper planning of their maintenance service. The paper presents three models of technical state changes of the objects: stochastic, deterministic "with history" and deterministic "without history". The choice of proper model depends on range of information about the object and its data base i.e. on period of its operation: beginning, basic or closing period. Such models will be useful to determine of technical state of objects and planing of their maintenance service according to their actual technical state in every period of their operation.

W pracy przedstawiono możliwość przekształcenia rozkładów prędkości zużycia elementów urządzeń technicznych w rozkłady czasu pracy do osiągnięcia stanu granicznego przez te elementy. Wyznaczone w ten sposób rozkłady czasu pracy do osiągnięcia stanu granicznego mogą być nowym elementem w opisie matematycznym uszkodzeń stopniowych. Stanowić to może jedną z metod wyznaczania zasobów pracy urządzeń technicznych.

The paper presents the analysis of wear processes of technical objects which gradually achieve the limit state. Transformation of distribution of wear velocity of equipment elements on distribution of time to achieving of limit state was made. New two-parameter distribution is the result of such transformation and it can be new manner of mathematical description of objects gradual damages. Presented manner of determination of wear velocity of object elements and determination of time to achieving of their limit state can be used to determining the characteristic durability coefficients for technical objects e.g. their work resources, service life, time to damage, etc.
