Content available remote Activities of astro-geodetic observatory in Jozefoslaw in 2000
EN
Astro-geodetic Observatory of the Institute of Geodesy and Geodetic Astronomy of the Warsaw University of Technology in Józefosław was incorporated in 1957. In 1991 it was joined to the International GPS Service for Geodynamics (IGS) and started to operate as a permanent one in 1993. Since then the following permanent services have been maintained: GPS observations using Trimble and Turbo Rogue receivers, tidal gravimetric observations with LaCoste&Romberg model D gravimeter and meteorological obseryations. Since 1995 WUT Local Analysis Centre, one of the 13 local Analysis Centres acting in Europe, has started the systematic day-to-day processing of the selected number of European sites in the frame of the EUREF network. It processes national and International GPS campaigns (CEGRN, EXTENDED SAGET etc.), models ionosphere and troposphere parameters, compute tidal components and changes of the vertical according to astrometric and gravimetric measurements. For last 5 years the Centre has processed and analysed many of scientific researches carried out in within the confines of the Central European Initiatiye (CEI). This paper presents state of the art of the Observatory's actiyities. It deals with the acting of it and participating of the WUT Local Analysis Centre to the international scientific projects.

Content available remote Determination of velocity vectors from CERGOP/Extended Saget observation campaigns
EN
The development of the space measurement techniques in geodesy makes possible to study more effectively phenomena of global scale, especially the continental plate movements. The paper describes methods of extracting velocities of periodic GPS stations. The method can be divided into two groups. First, obtains velocities of free sulutions of long periods of observations, and second, out of adjustment with reference points with given a priori sigmas. The velocity vectors of the Eurasian plate has been determined by use of the CERGOP`94,95,96,97 and EXTENDED SAGET'98 observation campaigns. Then they were compared to the vectors calculated from NUVEL-1A global model. The results of adjustment with given a priori sigmas are quite coherent tu the ones obtained by model. The free solution results are not consistent with the model values. The reason may be that they are not related to the global plate movement, but to the local stations motion.

Astro-Geodetic Observatory in Józefoslaw is one of the EUREF/IGS sites. In the Observatory there are several continuous observations performed such as: - GPS observatiuns using two receivers; - Tidal measurements witb LC&R gravimeter; - Astrometric observations aimed at latitude changes determinations; - Meteorological measurements. Warsaw University of Technology EUREF Analysis Centre works in the frame of the Observatory. The bank of regional observations is also conducted. The results of the processing of the observations mentioned above could be used to verification of the tidal and non-tidal deformation models that are used in GPS data processing perfomed by WUT EUREF LAC. This paper presents the results of the tidal and astrometric analyses and their comparison to the standard IERS models. U also deals with the non-tidal deformation model comes from the atmosphere in the meaning of the height (GPS) and gravity (gravimetry) corrections.
