The aim of this work was to estimate the power losses of different types of materials due to rotational magnetization (RM). The analyzed materials were Fe-based non-oriented (NO) and grain-oriented (GO) soft magnetic alloys consisting of SiFe, NiFe, and CoFe. All analyzed materials - except the NiFe type - show high loss increase for increasing axis ratio of the elliptically rotating flux density vector. Circular magnetization yields increase by a factor of about 5 for GO SiFe, whereas NO materials show a factor close to 2.

Celem pracy jest określenie strat mocy rożnych materiałów w warunkach rotacyjnego magnesowania. Analizowano stopy żelaza anizotropowe l izotropowe: SiFe, NiFe, CoFe. Wszystkie analizowane materiały, z wyjątkiem NiFe, wykazują znaczny wzrost strat wraz ze wzrostem eliptyczności magnesowana rotacyjnego. Przy magnesowaniu kołowym wzrost strat jest rzędu 5 dla GO SiFe, podczas gdy dla materiału izotropowego jest on bliski 2.

This paper discusses the basic behavior of different types of soft magnetic materials with respect to magnetostriction as resulting from rotational magnetization. Isotropic amorphous and crystalline materials prove to yield a rotation of the main axis of magnetostrictive strain. On the other hand, anisotropic Goss textured materials show a fixed axis as in the case of alternating magnetization. Easily, the fundamental differences can be explained on the basis of domain theory. The results yield also different mechanisms of vibration of magnetic cores with respect to generation of audible noise.

Rezultaty badań pokazują różny mechanizm drgań rdzeni i wytwarzania słyszalnego brzęczenia.

The paper compares multidirectional magnetostrictive strain of different types of Fe-based soft magnetic alloys as resulting from rotational magnetization. Highly grain oriented SiFe showed a dramatic increase of strain of two orders of magnitude for circular magnetization (compared to alternating magnetization), grain oriented by one order. For industrially relevant elliptical magnetization, one order and a half order, respectively, resulted. Non-oriented SiFe as well as isotropic amorphous materials showed lower increases, the peak induction in rolling direction being the most relevant quantity here.

Porównano wielokierunkowe naprężenia magnetostrykcyjne różnych stopów żelaza magnetycznie miękkich jako rezultat magnesowania rotacyjnego. Materiały anizotropowe SiFe wykazują znaczące zwiększenie naprężeń (dwukrotnie w porównaniu z magnesowaniem osiowym dla materiałów o silnej anizotropii, jednokrotnie dla zwykłych materiałów). Dla magnesowania eliptycznego zaobserwowano półtorakrotne zwiększenie naprężeń. Izotropowe materiały SiFe i materiały amorficzne wykazują niewielkie zwiększenie naprężeń.
