On the background of changes in transport in a whole country, voivodenship Wrocław and choosen cities the analysis of statistical data of road accidents is presented. Estimation of differences in road events presented by police sources and Voivodenship Statistical Service in relation to the quontity of registered vehicles is carried out. The problem of complexity of accidents reasons, necessity of regarding of road conditions and technical state of vehicles is discussed. More general practical conclusions about improvements of contemporary situation ends the paper.
