This article analyzes the results of social research on the determinants of decision-making in the field of running a business – especially the innovative one. The research was conducted on a sample of 400 inhabitants of the Silesian Voivodeship (Poland). The region of the Silesian Voivodeship is, in this respect, a specific region in Poland - highly urbanized, industrialized with a rich communication and transport infrastructure. The analyzed research was based on the results of a survey conducted using a questionnaire based on selected socio-demographic characteristics, considering the current distribution characterizing the inhabitants of the Silesian Voivodeship. Supporting factors and areas of expected support in starting a business activity were identified, as well as factors limiting the interest and readiness to start such activity. The results indicate that the main obstacles are the lack of financial support for starting, fear of risk, lack of access to information on the possibilities of financial support, frequent changes in legal regulations, lack of updating knowledge regarding the possibilities of financing and starting a business, lack of support in strengthening skills. in managing all areas of management of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. An interesting result with a sociological dimension is the support of family and relatives in terms of motivation to start a business.

The ongoing revolutionary socio-economic changes are particularly evident in the context of implementing the principles of Industry 4.0, aiming to enhance two categories: the efficiency of actions taken and productivity, influenced by the increasing level of process automation. The utilization of robots, automation, and virtual reality are elements that not only characterize the economic practice environment but also the daily life of individuals. The observed situation provided the impetus for conducting survey research, focusing on exploring the functioning of individuals in the environment of new technologies. Information was obtained regarding the knowledge of selected technological solutions among Poles, their understanding of their essence, and the predicted further evolution/regression in this domain by the respondents. The acquired empirical data, reflecting the researched reality, appear to align well with the results of literary studies concerning technological processes and their associated social consequences. Poles have shown awareness of the existence of advanced technologies in various sectors of the economy and daily life, and they more often expressed favorable positions towards the utilization of innovative solutions-recognizing them as convenient and facilitating various tasks. This study provides an opportunity to present the initial and selected conclusions regarding the gathered material.

Trwające rewolucyjne zmiany społeczno-gospodarcze są szczególnie widoczne w kontekście wdrażania zasad Przemysłu 4.0, którego celem jest zwiększenie efektywności podejmowanych działań oraz produktywności, pod wpływem rosnącego poziomu automatyzacji procesów. Wykorzystanie robotów, automatyzacji i rzeczywistości wirtualnej to elementy, które charakteryzują nie tylko otoczenie praktyki gospodarczej, ale także codzienne życie jednostek. Obserwowana sytuacja stanowiła impuls do przeprowadzenia badań ankietowych, skupiających się na badaniu funkcjonowania jednostek w środowisku nowych technologii. Uzyskano informacje dotyczące znajomości wybranych rozwiązań technologicznych wśród Polaków, ich zrozumienia istoty tych rozwiązań oraz przewidywanej dalszej ewolucji/regresu w tej dziedzinie według respondentów. Uzyskane dane empiryczne, odzwierciedlające badaną rzeczywistość, zdają się dobrze korespondować z wynikami studiów literaturowych dotyczących procesów technologicznych i ich związanych z nimi konsekwencji społecznych. Polacy wykazali świadomość istnienia zaawansowanych technologii w różnych sektorach gospodarki i życia codziennego, a także coraz częściej wyrażali pozytywne stanowiska wobec wykorzystywania innowacyjnych rozwiązań, uznając je za wygodne i ułatwiające różne zadania. Niniejsze badanie daje możliwość przedstawienia wstępnych i wybranych wniosków dotyczących zebranego materiału.

The main goal of the study will be to pay attention to awareness of technological and digital development. Sense of responsibility unites certain groups of entrepreneurs, scientists and decision-makers. The main principles of the idea of corporate social responsibility are related to maintaining balance in business activity between three kinds of capital - economic, human and natural. Following the technological and digital development in recent years, more attention is given to socially responsible creation and implementation of innovation. Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR), which in recent months has been taking formal shape, is a new initiative within social responsibility. CDR means the awareness of duties binding the organisations active in the field of technological development and using technologies to provide services. The article refers to the dynamic development of technologies that threatens also global labour market due to automation and mass implementation of solutions based on artificial intelligence. Being aware of this dynamic process it is worth to emphasise that businesses and employees have far less time to thoroughly examine social consequences of ongoing implementations related to digitalisation.

Ongoing progress in the introduction of new technologies, rapid social adaptation to the fourth industrial revolution, implementation of new solutions related to information and communication become incentives to conduct interdisciplinary scientific analyses. The following paper is a review article and the presented analysis to a large extent is based on theoretical considerations referring to studies of other authors. Presenting the sources of this notion in the context of industry 4.0 and sustainable development is a foundation for possible further experimental research. However, the primary aim of this article is to demonstrate the sources of scientific interest in artificial intelligence, directions of research on this notion and potential sociological research areas related to AI. Another goal of this article is to indicate the implications that can be used in planned research projects. The scope of the analysis is largely based on the study of literature.

The main goal of the study will be to pay attention to technologization of the learning process and its social dimensions in the context of artificial intelligence. The reflection will mainly cover selected theories of learning and knowledge management in the organization and its broadly understood environment. Considering the sociological dimensions of these phenomena is supposed to lead to the emphasis on the importance of the security of the human-organization-device relationship. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the issue, the article will include references to the concept of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Difficult questions will arise around the ideas and will become the conclusion of the considerations.

In this article is drawn attention to the social aspects of improving the quality of production. The relationship between the development of technology and society is still underappreciated. There is a vital need to make technical managers aware of the rules governing interpersonal relationships. This theoretical article aims to bring the basic concepts of social sciences closer to recipients focused on constant improvement of the production quality. The essence of the work process is primarily the fact that it is done by a human being and mostly in a group of people. This is related to the consequences of sociological nature to which managers do not pay enough attention. Instead of focusing on social and interpersonal problems they are dealing with organizational issues. The conclusion of consideration leads to underlining the need for constant improvement - manager training in social engineering principles.
