Mathematical model of change of equivalent moment of inertia of V-type crank-connecting rod mechanism of piston internal combustion engines from the angle of swing of crankshaft is proposed All wide-spread schemes of V-type crank-connecting rod mechanisms are analyzed, and adequacy of the given models in KOMPAS-3D V8 system is checked.

The article contains the results of experimental researches of the soot mechanical properties such as: elasticity modulus of the first sort, tensile stress, and slip stress. The researches in the range of the temperatures, which are located in the exhaust pipe of the automobile engine are conducted. The connection between the temperature of exhaust and their rate near the pipe's end is shown. The received results give us opportunity to describe the soot layer in the exhaust pipe of the automobile engine.

Alternatives to the use of diesel in compression ignition engine are straight vegetable oil (SVO) and biodiesel. SVO is suitable as a fuel for diesel engine in case of: (1) relatively high temperature of SVO; (2) SVO and diesel blends; (3) a two tank system where vehicle is started up and shut down on a diesel and then switched over to a second tank on SVO. There are problems such as poor atomisation and coking tendencies due to significantly higher viscosity of SVO in comparison with diesel fuel. It is important to study the spray parameters during SVO injection. The new formula for the Sauter Mean Diameters (SMD) for rapeseed oil, biodiesel and diesel fuel blends was proposed. It is predicted that the SMD is expected to be proportional to Eggers length parameter [.....] for realistic fuel values of dynamic viscosity µ, surface tension δ and density ρ. Experimental studies of rapeseed oil and diesel blends were conducted on truck GAZ-33060 without any engine modification. The fuel consumption (in term of litre per kilometre) increased with the increase in proportion of rapeseed oil in the blend that has good agreement with theoretical model.
