This article raises the issues related to the influence of increased availability of various categories of spare parts in the market on the cost of servicing passenger cars in Poland. The discussion is based on original simulations of the hypothetic cost of repairs involving several categories of spare parts. For the analysis, the authors selected models of vehicles that were demanded the most in Poland in recent years in the segment of brand new and second-hand cars. The purpose of this work is to show the differences in values arising in the case of using separate categories of spare parts in the class of repairs concerned. The presented research may be used to estimate the possible cost of use related to owning a specific model of a vehicle. Furthermore, the research results may be helpful in making purchase decisions by the individual as well as group clients.

W artykule zaprezentowano rozważania dotyczące wpływu regulacji unijnych w postaci porozumień wertykalnych w sektorze pojazdów samochodowych spod zakazu porozumień ograniczających konkurencję na koszty napraw samochodów osobowych w Polsce. Rozważania uzupełniono o autorskie symulacje kosztów napraw, obejmujące zastosowanie poszczególnych kategorii części zamiennych w procesach naprawy wyselekcjonowanych samochodów osobowych z czterech wybranych segmentów rynkowych. Zamierzeniem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na istotę podjętej problematyki badawczej poprzez wykazanie, jakie rozbieżności cenowe występują pomiędzy danymi kategoriami części zamiennych, co w przyszłości może ułatwić odpowiedź na pytanie. Zastosowanie, której kategorii części zamiennych prowadzi do najwyższej redukcji kosztów naprawy pojazdu. Adresatami zaprezentowanych wyników badań są zarówno warsztaty naprawcze, użytkownicy prywatni jak i towarzystwa ubezpieczeniowe.

The article presents considerations regarding the impact of EU regulations in the form of vertical agreements in the motor vehicle sector from the prohibition of agreements restricting competition to the costs of passenger car repairs in Poland. The considerations were supplemented with proprietary repairs of repair costs, covering the use of individual categories of spare parts in the processes of repairing selected passenger cars from four selected market segments. The intention of the article is to draw attention to the essence of the research issues undertaken by showing which price discrepancies occur between the given spare parts, which in the future may facilitate the answer to the question: application, which category of spare parts leads to the highest reduction of vehicle repair costs. The addressees of the presented research results are both repair workshops, private users and insurance companies.

The article presents considerations regarding the essence of specialization as the key to achieving competitive advantage on the contemporary market of automotive services in Poland. The considerations were supplemented with original questionnaire surveys of the demand side in the scope of the market strategy applied by market entities offering repair services on the Polish market. The intention of the article is to draw attention to the essence of the research issues undertaken by demonstrating that specialization and not the diversification of services may lead to achieving a competitive advantage in this market. The direct recipients of the presented research results may be managers and owners of entities already operating in this sector of services as well as those who are considering such a possibility in the future.

The article presents the considerations concerning the impact of legal regulations in the form of sectoral exemptions on the dynamics of the price differentiation of original spare parts for motor vehicles in Poland. In order to present the economic dimension of the research problem, the case study was used – a numerical experiment consisting of the change analysis of prices of the strictly selected spare parts from the rime of introducing the mentioned legal regulations, until 2017. The intention of the article is to draw attention to the essence of the research issue by demonstrating that the introduction of EU sectoral exemptions, in spite of the improved market competitiveness in the form of the increased availability to other categories of parts, in most cases did not lead to a significant price reduction of new original components on the Polish market of spare parts.

W artykule zaprezentowano rozważania dotyczące wpływu regulacji prawnych w postaci wyłączeń sektorowych na dynamikę zróżnicowania cen oryginalnych części zamiennych do pojazdów silnikowych w Polsce. W celu zaprezentowania wymiaru ekonomicznego podjętej problematyki badawczej posłużono się studium przypadku – eksperymentem numerycznym, polegającym na analizie zmian cen ściśle wyselekcjonowanych części zamiennych od momentu prowadzenia wspomnianych regulacji prawnych aż do 2017 roku. Zamierzeniem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na istotę podjętej problematyki badawczej poprzez wykazanie, że wprowadzenie regulacji unijnych w postaci wyłączeń sektorowych, pomimo poprawy konkurencyjności rynkowej w postaci wzrostu dostępności do innych kategorii części zamiennych w większości przypadków, nie doprowadziło do znacznej obniżki cen nowych oryginalnych komponentów na rynku części zamiennych w Polsce.

In today’s market reality, the information about the real time of the vehicle repair time has become an imperative of tremendous importance. In today’s market of repair services, both the service providers and customers care about the most precise determination of this time. Thus, in terms of increasing market availability to other categories of spare parts than those original ones, the process of properly defining the implementation of the repair service is becoming more and more important. The article focuses on the issue of the influence of the distribution channels of particular categories of spare parts on the vehicle repair time. Considerations are based on author’s simulations covering a comparative study of car repair periods depending on the applied category of spare parts. The purpose of the article is to answer the question, whether the applied category of spare parts in the process of the performed repair service affects the implementation of this service.

The development of electro-mobility in Poland is one of the inevitable processes awaiting the Polish automotive industry. For each potential electric vehicle user, the information on the vehicle’s operating costs therefore becomes an imperative of tremendous importance. The analysis of market prices of passenger cars clearly indicates that the costs of acquiring a new electric vehicle are much higher than conventional fuel vehicles. Therefore, the expectations of customers themselves become fundamentally significant, who in relation to the spare parts in the case of this category of vehicles expect the highest technological and quality standards while maintaining the suitable price parameter. The article attempts to signal the issues related to the evaluation of electro-mobility parameters by presenting the comparative study of the costs of repairing electric vehicles and vehicles fuelled by conventional fuels. Considerations were supplemented by authoritative cost simulations, including the comparison of the same models of vehicles equipped with both the conventional and ecological power units. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the essence of the research problem and to answer the question whether the total costs of operating electric vehicles are in reality significantly lower than that of vehicles fuelled by conventional fuel.

The article discusses the impact of the repairer performing on the service level of the sheet metal workmanship. For the purposes of the study, 5000 communication losses were eliminated, which were eliminated in the settlement option on the basis of an invoice for repair, in one of the voivodships of Poland. Comparison of historical data allowed to determine the differences in the rates applicable in both authorized and unauthorized workshops. The purpose of this article is to answer the question of what divergences are found between the service hours of tinplate and paint work in unauthorized and authorized repair stations. The main beneficiaries of the presented results are car valuers, insurance companies and court experts in Poland.

Do analizy wyselekcjonowano poszczególne modele pojazdów, które na przełomie ostatnich lat charakteryzowały się największym zainteresowaniem strony popytowej zarówno na rynku pierwotnymi jak i wtórnym. Celem rozważań jest wskazanie jakie rozbieżności cenowe w zakresie części zamiennych występują pomiędzy danymi generacjami poszczególnych modeli pojazdów. Analiza porównawcza dotyczyła wyłącznie bieżących cen nowych części oryginalnych, które ulegają zużyciu w procesach eksploatacyjnych pojazdu. Zaprezentowane badania mogą być pomocne w celu oszacowania ewentualnych kosztów napraw związanych z posiadaniem poszczególnej generacji danego modelu pojazdu. Ponadto wyniki badań mogą być pomocne w procesach podejmowania decyzji zakupowych zarówno dla klientów indywidualnych jak i grupowych.

The article attempts to signal the issue of the economic impact of the vehicle's generation on the price of spare parts. Selected models of vehicles, which at the turn of the last years were most interested in both the primary and secondary markets, were selected. The purpose of the weighing is to indicate what price spikes in spare parts occur between the respective generations of the individual vehicle models. Comparative analysis only concerned the current prices of new genuine spare parts that are consumed in the vehicle's operational processes. The presented studies may be helpful in estimating the cost of repairing a particular generation of a given vehicle model.

Adresatami zaprezentowanych wyników badań są towarzystwa ubezpieczeniowe, warsztaty naprawcze oraz podmioty tworzące oprogramowanie do szacowania kosztów napraw.

The paper presents the analysis of the economic dimension of the use of panel repairs on the basis of specific damage to vehicles. Considerations were supplemented by presentations of author's repair cost simulations in two variants, including replacement and repair of the replacement part. For the purposes of this article, the study covered vehicles in which the use of panel repairs was found to be practical application. The presented results allowed to compare the cost between the replacement process and repair of the given spare part. The aim of the article is to demonstrate that the use of innovative tools in the form of panel repairs can lead to significant cost reductions. The beneficiaries of the presented research results are insurance companies, repair shops and entities creating software for estimating the costs of rights.

The development of electro-mobility in Poland is one of the inevitable processes certainly awaiting the Polish automotive industry. It is expected that in the next few years, electric cars will become a viable alternative to petrol cars. Available reports an studies indicate clearly that the costs of purchasing a new electric vehicle are much higher than a vehicle powered with conventional fuel. Therefore, the expectations of the customers themselves regarding the costs of the operation of such a vehicle, including the prices of spare parts, get the fundamental meaning at the stage of purchasing decisions. The article attempts to signal the issue of the impact of the costs of operational repairs of passenger cars on the development of electromobility in Poland. The considerations were based on proprietary simulations of costs, including the comparison of the same vehicle model equipped with both conventional engine and ecological propulsion units. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the essence of the research issues undertaken and to answer the question, whether in reality the costs of operational repairs of electric vehicles are much lower than those that are fuelled with conventional fuels. The presented research results can certainly be helpful in the purchasing decision-making processes both for individual and group clients.

Rozwój elektromobliności w Polsce jest jednym z nieuniknionych procesów, jaki z pewnością czeka polską motoryzację. Należy spodziewać się, że w najbliższych kilku latach samochody elektryczne staną się realną alternatywą dla samochodów spalinowych. Dostepne raporty i opracowania wskazują wyrażnie, że koszty nabycia nowego pojazdu elektrycznego są znacznie wyższe niż pojazdu zasilanego paliwem konwencjonalnym. Zatem fundamentalnego znaczenia na etapie decyzji zakupowych nabierają oczekiwania samych kilentów w kwestii kosztów eksploatacji takiego pojazdu, w tym także cen części zamiennych. W artykule podjęto próbę zasygnalizowania problematyki wpływu kosztów napraw eksploatacyjnych samochodów osobowych na rozwój elektromobliności w Polsce. Rozważania oparto o autorskie symulacje kosztów, obejmujące porówanie tego samego modelu pojazdu wyposażonego zarówno w silnik konwencjonalny jak i ekologiczne jednostki napędowe.Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na istotę podjętej problematyki badawczej oraz odpowiedż na pytanie czy w rzeczywistości koszty napraw eksploatacyjnych pojazdów elektrycznych są znacznie niższe, niż pojazdów zasilanych paliwami konwencjonalnymi. Zaprezentowane wyniki badań mogą być pomocne w procesach podejmowania decyzji zakupowych zarówno w przypadku klientów indywidualnych jak i grupowych.

In the article an attempt was made indicated of the issues concerning the risk management insurance on the example of the subject from the micro sector of enterprises of the school research of role of the insurance agent in the process of the forming of insurance premiums. In order to identify mutual correlation they used examinations concerning analysis of the role of the insurance agent in the process of the forming of insurance premiums in case of the motor vehicle insurance. Indicating is planning the article indicating existing restrictions of formal and desired perspective directions of changes in risk management systems is insurance, what in the future to lead perhaps to the correct verification and the risk assessment insurance by the insurance agent.

Rozważania uzupełniono o analizę cen koszyka części składających się z produktów potrzebnych w codziennej eksploatacji i materiałów ulegających naturalnemu zużyciu oraz tych zastosowanych w najczęściej występujących naprawach pokolizyjnych pojazdów z tego segmentu rynkowego. Zamierzeniem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na istotę podjętej problematyki badawczej poprzez wykazanie, jakie rozbieżności kosztowe występują pomiędzy danymi markami pojazdów w tym segmencie rynkowym, co w przyszłości może ułatwić odpowiedz na pytanie, w przypadku, którego pojazdu koszty jego eksploatacji są w korzystnej relacji do jego wartości rynkowej.

In the article an attempt was made indicated issues of the parameter estimate economic of influence of alternative parts on costs of repairs of passenger cars in Poland. Discussions were supplemented for author's simulations of hypothetical costs of repairs of passenger cars at applying of alternative available spare parts on the Polish market. Keeping an eye on the being of taken research issues and indicating desired perspective directions of changes in the aspect are planning the article of applying individual categories of the spare parts in processes of repairs of passenger cars on the Polish market of automotive services.

Dla celów empirycznych posłużono się praktycznymi przykładami zastosowań zużycia wartości poszczególnych części zamiennych w procesach likwidacji tej kategorii szkód. Zamierzeniem artykułu jest zasygnalizowanie istniejących ograniczeń formalnych i pożądanych perspektywicznych kierunków zmian w zakresie stosowania amortyzacji części zamiennych w odniesieniu do szkód częściowych likwidowanych z polisy odpowiedzialności cywilnej przez towarzystwa ubezpieczeniowe w Polsce.

The article attempts to draw attention to the issues of legal, economic and technical aspects of the application of depreciation of spare parts in the process of claims handling in Poland on the example of the liquidated damages from the insurance liability. For the purposes of empirical were used practical examples of application of depreciation in the process of liquidation of this category of damage. The whole discussion was supplemented by a description of the legal conditions of both the technical and economic justifying and exclude such conduct. The intention of the article is to signal the formal limitations of existing and prospective directions of desirable changes in the application of the depreciation of spare parts with respect to the partial liquidated damages from the insurance liability by insurance companies and the valuations carried out by the experts of automobile and forensic experts in Poland.

The article attempts to assess the economic, technical and legal use of parts used in the process-sach repairs passenger cars in Poland. Considerations supplemented by an analysis of the prices of the original parts from both the primary market and the secondary. The intention of this article is to draw attention to the essence of the adopted research issues by demonstrating that the current legal conditions and technical enable the repair of the vehicle using used parts, which in the case of vehicles with a longer lifetime can lead to tangible economic benefits for the user of the vehicle in the form of reduction repair costs while maintaining the technical issues-ness of the vehicle.
