This paper deals with the subject of high temperature analysis of refining slags originating from a ladle from an actual/industrial secondary refining process. The objective of the conducted research was to learn about the rheological behaviour of the complex industrial slag systems analysed in conditions of variable rheological parameters and temperature, also analyses with a high-temperature microscope. The analysed system seems to be a Newtonian body (with viscosity between 0.1 and 0.8 Pa·s, depend on temperature value, and chemical composition).

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki analizy wpływu temperatury pomiaru na parametry zdolności chłodzącej dwóch mineralnych olejów hartowniczych: OH70 i Houghto-Quench C140 , oraz oleju roślinnego bioTemproil. Zakres temperatur pomiaru wynosił 20-100°C.

The paper presents the results of the analysis of the effect of the measurement temperature on the cooling capacity parameters of two mineral quenching oils: OH70 and Houghto-Quench C140 as well as a vegetable oil bioTemproil. The measurement temperature range was 20-100°C. The test results demonstrated that the measurement temperature has a stronger effect on the cooling capacity parameters of vegetable oil as compared to mineral oils. The characteristics of the heat transfer coefficient, a, as the function of the surface temperature, Tp, for the tested oils were determined. The hardening process of a steel element was simulated using the developed characteristics α=f(Tp).
