The content of copper, lead and zinc in plants growing on Wolin, Uznam and Karsibor islands was assessed. The sampling sites were in the vicinities of the merchant harbour, ferry harbours, repair shipyard and fuel station in Świnoujście, and a nature reserve. It was found that the most polluted by copper and zinc were the areas in the vicinity of the fuel station, shipyard and harbour, and by lead also areas close to ferry landings. Plants collected in the nature reserve contained regular amounts of the analysed metals, proper for their growth and development.
