W artykule przedstawiono wyniki obserwacji autorów związanych z wdrażaniem działań w zakresie poprawy efektywności energetycznej instalacji przemysłowych. Wśród przedsięwzięć służących poprawie efektywności energetycznej na czołowym miejscu wymieniono ograniczanie strat ciepła instalacji przemysłowych i energetycznych. Przedstawiono różne kryteria wpływające na dobór grubości izolacji i ograniczenia strat ciepła.

The article presents the findings of the authors’ observations on implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency of industrial installations. Among the undertakings aimed to improve energy efficiency, limitation of heat losses in industrial and power installations is mentioned first. Various criteria are presented that affect the choice of insulation thickness and limitation of heat losses.

W pierwszej części artykułu dotyczącego efektywności energetycznej instalacji przemysłowych przytoczono i omówiono akty prawne i inne dokumenty odniesienia dotyczące efektywności energetycznej. Wymieniono czynniki wpływające na skuteczność energetyczną instalacji termoizolacyjnych oraz sposoby określania tej skuteczności. Pokazano przykładowe wyniki i metody obliczeń strat ciepła układów przemysłowych.

The first part of the article concerning energy efficiency of industrial installations gives reference and discus-sion of legislation and other reference documents on energy efficiency. Factors affecting energy efficiency of thermal insulation installations are enumerated, together with methods of determining such efficiency. Example results and calculation methods of heat losses in industrial systems are presented as well.

Model of the fluidization chamber used to the numerical simulation of the expansion of the fluidized bed was presented. Results of numerical simulations at different times showing expansion of the bed in the chamber were presented. The model was used to select and evaluate of drying process parameters case study of brown coal. The results of experimental tests with usage of experimental laboratory installations was presented. The qualitative compatibility of experimental results with simulated ones allows to use the model in the design process of similar devices.

The article introduces the issue of fluidized. Contains a description basic equations used to create a mathematical model. The main part of the article is to show the impact of the shape of the fluid bed chamber for the arrangement particles in the solid phase (brown coal).
