Each big waterwork has an influence (positive and/or negative) on surroundings and therefore it is necessary to monitor regulary possible phenomenae that such waterwork may cause. One of the most important factor of a waterwork is the space stability of its individual objects. To estimate reliably whether there are some deformations of the object of interest, it is necessary realise appropriate geodetical measurements. This paper presents an analysis of geodetical deformation measurements performed on Gabćikovo dam diversion canal in several phases using both terrestrial and GPS methods.
