Na wyspie Honey w Stanach Zjednoczonych firma Delta Directional LLC z powodzeniem zastosowała osprzęt wiertniczy American Augers. Prace realizowano na obszarze będącym rezerwatem dzikiej przyrody.

In the heart of south-eastern Louisiana, USA, 64 km away north-east of New Orleans, there is the Honey island. Under its swampy ground an imposing crossing was made for a 16" (40.6 cm) gas pipeline with a length of 1,898 m. It was also the longest drilling that has been completed by Delta Directional until now. Due to the fact that swamps on the island are a strictly protected area, works had to be carried out with the use of the ecological HDD technology. Along the entire length of the drilling there were varied geological conditions that made works difficult, but they were completed successfully on time.
