Induction motor speed and flux estimation using extended Kalman filter algorithm

The paper deals with the application of Kalman filter for state variables estimation of the induction motor. The mathematical model of the extended Kalman filler used for simultaneous rolor flux and speed estimation was presented and tested in simulation. This algorithm was tested from the point of view of its sensitivity to motor parameter changes. The problem of suitable choice of Kalman filter parameters, such as elements of the covariance matrix Q, was also discussed. The influence of this matrix on the state variable estimation quality was also tested in simulation. Some aspects of practical realisation of such Kalman filler were discussed.

Artykuł dotyczy zastosowania filtru Kalmana do odtwarzania zmiennych stanu silnika indukcyjnego. Przedstawiono model matematyczny rozszerzonego filtru Kalmana do jednoczesnej estymacji strumienia i prędkości wirnika oraz zrealizowano badania symulacyjne. Algorytm został przetestowany pod względem wrażliwości na zmiany parametrów schematu zastępczego silnika. Przedyskutowano również problem odpowiedniego doboru parametrów filtru Kalmana, takich jak elementy macierzy kowariancji Q. Przeprowadzono badania symulacyjne wpływu elementów tej macierzy na jakość estymacji zmiennych stanu silnika indukcyjnego. Zwrócono uwagę na niektóre aspekty praktycznej realizacji takiego filtru Kalmana i jego zastosowań w bezczujnikowym napędzie elektrycznym.
