The article focuses on the advantages of the implementation of a quality management system. It shows the difficulties associated with meeting the expectations of the modern competitive market and the patients’ expectations, as well as presents solutions to improve the organization’s management systems, in the form of mechanisms that already exist, for example the ISO standard. Implementation of the quality management system has a positive impact on the health care unit, introducing order in managing system and improving quality. Thanks to the implemented quality system, it is possible to provide services at a much higher level, which can be seen in the analysis of satisfaction of patients, managers and medical staff. The article analyzes the importance of a quality system in the health care sector, as well as the quality management according to the newest trends in that sector.

The purpose of this theoretical research is to draw attention to the role of innovation and new technologies in the activities of medical services. Two thesis are taken for consideration: first, that new technologies lead to better quality and optimization of treatment costs and second, that thanks to innovation and new technologies medical organizations can heal better and more efficiently. For many years different governments and institution tried to cure healthcare system. Results are not satisfactory. But there are same healthcare quality improvement trends and new technologies which change thinking about how healthcare actually works and how it contributes to health.

This article presents the quality, safety and assessment system as the important tools to supervise the health care organization. Quality is the sum of the properties and characteristics of a product, process or service that is appropriate to meet the complex requirements. In the case of health care is difficult to valuate quality, the universal indicators become useful tool. The development of quality indicators requires collecting of data and their proper processing. The high quality of medical services requires continuous improvement and adaptation to patients’ needs. The quality indicators, for example, refer directly to the effects of therapy and are used to measure the success or failure of the applied therapeutic methods. Measuring the results of activities indicates only the level of quality of the services provided. The data helps to analyze information and improve the quality and safety of health care services.
