The paper discusses the issue of eco-modernization of the Polish sector of energy production in the light of new goals of the European Policy included in the ‘2021-2030 Climate and Energy Package’. It focuses on the presentation of challenges in transformation of the Polish sector of energy production resulting from strategic goals of the EU in this area.

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie eko-modernizacji polskiego sektora wytwarzania energii w świetle nowych celów polityki europejskiej zawartych w pakiecie energetyczno-klimatycznym na lata 2021-2030. Koncentruje się na ukazaniu wyzwań o charakterze transformacyjnym dla polskiego sektora wytwarzania wynikających ze strategicznych celów wspólnoty w tym obszarze.

The paper discusses the issue of the development of timber production market and timber industry in Poland and selected EU countries. The potential of forest resources in Poland against the background of other European countries is presented, as well as selected aspects exerting impact on the development processes of the sector of production. Particular attention is paid to the structure of ownership of forests in Poland and selected countries of the European Union. The structure of the use of means for research and development is analyzed with particular focus on those branches which allocate the biggest amounts for such purposes. Technological trends in the timber industry in Poland is described. Finally the prospects in the development of timber industry in the near future are discussed.

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie rozwoju rynku produkcji drewna oraz branży drzewnej w Polsce i wybranych krajach Unii Europejskiej. Przedstawiony został potencjał zasobów leśnych Polski na tle innych państw wspólnoty oraz najważniejsze, wybrane aspekty wpływające na przebieg procesów rozwojowych tego sektora produkcji. Zwrócono również uwagę na strukturę własności lasów w Polsce oraz wybranych krajów Unii Europejskiej. Przeanalizowano strukturę wykorzystania środków na działalność badawczo-rozwojową, z wyszczególnieniem branż, które na tą działalność przeznaczyły najwięcej środków. Opisano trendy technologiczne w branży drzewnej w Polsce. Ponadto określono perspektywy rozwoju przemysłu drzewnego w najbliższych latach.

The article analyses the effects of an internal financing institution, namely the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Zielona Góra on stimulating pro-ecological activities in the production business sec-tor. The paper further analyses government forms of financing the Fund as well as the sources coming from particular economic financing instruments in the years 2009-2013.

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę wpływu zewnętrznej instytucji finansowej jaką jest Wojewódzki Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej w Zielonej Górze na stymulowanie działań proekologicznych w sektorze przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych. Ponadto analizie zostały poddane ustawowe formy zasilania Funduszu w środki pieniężne oraz ich wpływy z poszczególnych ekonomicznych instrumentów zasilania w latach 2009-2013.
