Artykuł prezentuje pomysł na opracowanie modelu motywacji, mający na celu wspieranie aktywności zarówno studentów, jak i nauczycieli przy wdrażaniu i wykorzystaniu systemu otwartego nauczania na odległość. Opisano strukturę modelu motywacji i formalne założenie zadania. Zaproponowane podejście do rozwiązania zadania bazuje na teorii gier i modelowaniu symulacyjnym.

The article contains the idea of developing a motivation model, the goal of which is to support activity of both students and teachers during implementation and use of an open system of distance learning. The structure of the motivation model and the formal definition of the problem and its solution were described. An approach based on the games theory and simulation model was proposed for solving the task.

W artykule przedstawiono podejście do zarządzania jakością produktu poligraficznego w oparciu o model dopasowania parametrów nastawu maszyny drukującej do normatywów przedsiębiorstwa. Przedstawiony model jest podejściem uniwersalnym uwzględniającym rodzaj produktu, park maszynowy oraz indywidualne wymagania klienta.

Sheet offset print is currently the most popular printing method. It is used in manufacturing of a wide range of printing product, from leaflets to brochures to books to highly refined packaging and labels. It is used for both small orders of thousand copies and for high, several million editions. Maintaining high print quality is a very difficult task because numerous accompanying phenomena occur during printing process that often cause many problems and render high quality printing impossible. The article presents approach to printing product quality management based on a model of matching printing machine setting parameters to enterprise quality norms. Presented model is a universal approach taking into account printing product type, printing machine type and individual customer quality requirements.

As the amount of options regarding the possibility to start/continue higher education increases, due to such reasons as the development of European Higher Education Area, the decision about choosing one of them becomes even more diffcult. One of the most important factors that need to be taken into account is how well the set of competences guaranteed by an education offer reflects the predicted requirements of the job market. In the article authors propose a formal model, based on an object database, that would enable evaluating compatibility of two chosen sets of competences while taking into account different aspects connected to market needs.

In the article the authors propose an extended ontological model for distance learning, concerning pedagogical and cognitive requirements of the teaching/learning process. The main characteristic of the dedicated ontological model is reusability, which manifests itself in the possibility of adapting the knowledge model to different contexts and for different users by simply enabling knowledge sharing and knowledge management. The conceptual schemes are used for modelling the knowledge about queuing systems for knowledge repository and ontology development purposes. Authors have taken advantage of the computational models theory in order to create a model which combine theoretical and procedural knowledge.
Creation of an educational repository results in the development of new conditions regarding the learning process, especially in case of ODL (Open and Distance Learning). Working in network environment demands developing mechanisms that allow for preparation and distribution of didactic materials on a chosen computer platform. It then requires harmonizing and standardizing the form and way of presenting the content and analyzing quality indicators in order to evaluate the repository as a final-product. In the article authors discuss the meaning of standardization in the process of creating the educational repository.
The development of a new research area known as Knowledge Engineering and a growing popularity of the problem of knowledge management, representation and sharing lead to the development of a domain knowledge description tool called ontology. As there is still no single, homogenous definition of ontology, it is necessary to analyze the existing definitions, as well as ontology categorization methods. The growing popularity of this tool resulted in creation of ontology building languages and tools designed for working with ontologies. In this paper authors discuss the different ontology definitions, present an example, from the queuing systems domain which shows the importance, and complexity of the process of mapping an ontology of one domain into an ontology of another domain and also describe a number of existing solutions allowing the description and use of an ontology. They also point out the biggest, at the moment, shortcoming of the existing solutions.
