Mathematical methods in algorithm for websites positioning

Nowadays it is more and more common to treat the Internet as one of the ﬁrst sources of information. Given key words, diﬀerent types of web search engines generate a list of websites ranked by priority (theoretically corresponding to the query). The page position on the list depends on many factors. The method presented herein is a version of a PageRank algorithm introduced by Google to designate one of them. The PageRank algorithm ranks a webpage, depending on the number and quality of links leading to it and thus determines its position on the list. In its simplest version, the method can operate using just the basic operations on matrices. This paper presents also the more advanced version based on probabilistic approach.

W pracy przedstawiono metodę wyznaczania ustalonego, dwuwymiarowego pola temperatury wewnątrz ścian kanału spalinowego i w obszarze przepływającego gazu. Procedura obliczeniowa oparta jest o metodę Monte Carlo zastosowaną zarówno do przewodzenia ciepła wewnątrz ścian kanału jak i do radiacyjnego przepływu energii w gazie (w tej części zastosowano zmodyfikowaną metodę stosunków opromieniowania ). Uwzględniono zależność właściwości cieplnych ścian kanału i właściwości radiacyjnych spalin od temperatury. Przyjęto pasmowy model gazu - Edwardsa-Balakrishnana , uwzględniając zależności wynikające z nakładania się pasm aktywnych składników gazu.

The work presents the method of determining defined two-dimensional temperature field inside a fuel gas channel and in the enclosure of flowing gas. Boundary conditions of the 1st and 2nd kind were assumed for external walls of the channel. Computation procedure was based on the Monte Carlo method, applied both for calculating thermal conductivity inside the channel walls and radiation heat transfer in gas (where modified method of irradiation factors was applied). Flue gases passing though the channel are a mixture of active gases with band radiation properties. Edwards-Balakrishnan model was applied, taking into account overlapping active bands. Dependence of thermal properties of channel walls and flue gases radiation properties on temperature was accounted for.

Trzy generatory liczb psudolosowych: Randu, Urand1 i Urand2, zostały poddane statystycznym testom zgodności rozkładu oraz testom wykorzystującym zadania kontrolne, w celu wybrania generatora najlepiej nadającego się do analizy przepływu ciepła metodą Monte Carlo. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników za najbardziej przydatny uznano generator Urand2.

Three random number generators: Randu, Urand1, Urand2 were subject to statistical tests of goodness of fit as well as to tests that made use of control research. The aim of these tests was to select the generator which is most suitable for the heat transfer analysis useing the Monte Carlo method. The results achieved showed that the most useful generator is Urand2.
