Systemic Evolving Algorithm SAE was elaborate by Jerzy Tchórzewski for the necessity of study the regulan-ty of development of grand systems in electrical power engineering and was discuss inter alias in detail in following papers [13-15]. Algorithm SAE generates initial population directly from the model of electrical power engineering system which was obtained in the process of identification type th, zpk, tf, or ss and it's using adaptation function determinate from conditions system coupling with its closer and farther surroundings [3,10,11]. In the process of generation more robust population of chromosomes which are representing better solutions there are used modify cross and mutation operators, also modify selection method. There were also carry out an experiment of rating of functioning Algorithm SAE for different cross and mutation operators and for different methods of selection which was place f.e. in paper [16]. It turn out, that complementation of conception of evolving algorithms for systemic nature of system development SREE highh correct utility of evolving algorithms.

Methods of voltage unbalance estimation based on the theory of symmetrical components and the method of differential — angular coefficients of asymmetry have been discussed. It has been proposed the last one to estimate the asymmetry of square absolute voltage value, as useful for distorted processes.

The criteria for estimating the asymmetry of arc furnace circuit impedances, referring to the theory of symmetrical components, have been presented. In contrast to the criteria recommended as yet by IEC and CENELEC, they give homogeneous estimation of asymmetry of circuit impedances, heating powers and unbalance of arc currents. Moreover they make it possible to take into account functional dependences among them and, consequently, to improve the analysis of unbalanced operation states of EAF, as well as their balancing.

Przedstawiono zasady pomiaru elektrycznie wywołanych odpowiedzi nerwu słuchowego w systemie implantu ślimakowego. W badaniach wykorzystano sprzęt i oprogramowanie do telemetrii odpowiedzi neuronalnych (Neural Response Telemetry, NRT) zaimplantowane w systemie Nucleus 24. Omówiono zasady optymalizacji procedur pomiarowych i metody interpretacji wyników pomiaru. Na podstawie badań 26 pacjentów implantowanych zilustrowano podstawowe relacje pomiędzy wynikami badań obiektywnych i parametrami związanymi z ustawieniem procesora implantu wyznaczonymi na podstawie testów psychoakustycznych. Zbadano zmiany długookresowe parametrów psychoakustycznych i progów odpowiedzi neuronalnych w okresie po wszczepieniu implantu. Sformułowano wnioski o możliwości wykorzystania wyników badań obiektywnych w procedurach ustawienia procesorów implantów ślimakowych, zwłaszcza w przypadku małych dzieci prelingualnych.

The authors present the principles of measurement of electrically evoked compound action potentials (ECAP) from the auditory nerve in cochlear implant patients. Measurement hardware and the software implemented in the Nucleus 24 cochlear implant system were used in the tests. The principles of optimization of the measurement procedures are presented in the paper, and methods results interpretation. On the basis of the material consisting of 26 implanted patients, the authors illustrated fundamental relations between the objective tests results and the psychophysical parameters of speech processor fitting. Long-term changes of the psychophysical parameters, as well as the stability of NRT thresholds were examined. In the conclusion, one assessed the perspectives of application of objective tests results in speech processor fitting procedures. This possibility would be extremely important in the case of young prelingually deafened children.

Hilary Szpilowski (1753-1827) is renowned primarily as one of the leading Polish architects from the turn of the eighteenth century and a representative of mature Classicism. Despite numerous studies, his architectural activity still remains insufficiently examined. Years spent holding assorted posts in civil engineering offices in the Prussian partition area, the Duchy of Warsaw and the Kingdom of Poland remain little known. In 1817-1822, H. Szpilowski was professor at the Royal Warsaw University, and after several years as an Architect in the Commission of the Voivodeship of Mazovia he was promoted to the office of Architect in the Government Commission of Religion and Public Education. In this capacity, he concentrated his interests on publications containing architectural patterns. The most important of his exemplary plans are the projects of churches and vicarages issued in Warsaw in 1824. The album Wzory Kościołów po Województwach Królestwa Polskiego stawiać się mających do wyboru Dozorcom Kościelnym dla użytku Budowniczych ułożone przez H. Szpilowskiego (Patterns of Parish Churches in the Voivodeships of the Kingdom of Poland Arranged by H. Szpilowski to be Selected by Church Boards and Used by Constructors) encompasses thirteen projects of churches, composed of a grand plan and a view of the faćade contrasted with the intersection of the nave. The great diversity of the plans was the result of the need to adopt them to the frequently different requirements of the readers. Szpilowski offered both the pattern of a small provincial church and a large three-nave church with a dome. The publication ends with two proposals of a vicarage. This summary of the author's experiences gleaned from his earlier work contains the ultimate codified scheme of a small church. The majority of the suggestions are projects of churches retained in a variant of Classicism that refers both to local solutions and "Palladian" tradition, characteristic for the last quarter of the eighteenth century. Po krótkim omówieniu znanych kryteriów optymalizacji pracy pieców łukowych, autor przeanalizował wpływ nieliniowości i zmienności łuków podczas roztapiania złomu na moc użyteczną i sprawność ogólną pieca, po czym przedstawił skorygowane charakterystyki robocze pieca 50 Mg. Stwierdził potrzebę kontrolowania zmienności i niesinusoidalności prądów podczas roztapiania złomu, a następnie korygowania on line charakterystyk roboczych i nastaw regulatorów elektrod.

After a brief discussion of the criteria for the optimally efficient operation of arc furnaces, the author analyses the influence of arc non-linearity and its variability during the melting of strap metal together with the effects on overall power and efficiency. He than presents corrected operational characteristics for a 50 Mg furnace. He stresses the need to limit the effects of current variability and harmonic distortion during this process, also a methodology for practical operation and adjustment of electrodes.
