W artykule przedstawiono parametry techniczne estakady nad rynkiem w Chorzowie, wybudowanej w latach 70. Od kilkunastu lat trwały dyskusje nad stanem technicznym obiektu i jego dalszą przyszłością. W związku z ograniczeniami finansowymi i istotną rolą obiektu w układzie komunikacyjnym Chorzowa zdecydowano się na przebudowę estakady.

The paper presents the technical characteristics of the overpass over the market square in the Chorzów city, built in 1970s. The debates on the technical condition of the structure and its future have been continued for several years. Due to financial resources limitations and the crucial role of the flyover in the transportation layout of Chorzów, the decision was made to reconstruct the structure.

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z projektowaniem żelbetowych mostów ramowych. Porównano typowe wiadukty ramowe współpracujące z gruntem do aktualnie projektowanych i budowanych mostów integralnych. Opisano obciążenia przyjmowane w analizie tego typu konstrukcji. Omówiono krajowe i zagraniczne zasady wyznaczania parcia gruntu na ściany podporowe. Zwrócono uwagę na zasady obliczania mostów ramowych usytuowanych w skosie. Omówiono współpracę konstrukcji z gruntem za pomocą pali fundamentowych. Przedstawiono przykład analizy wiaduktu ramowego pod kątem budowy modelu numerycznego, przyjmowania obciążeń i interpretacji wyników.

This paper presented the issues related to the design of reinforced concrete framework bridge. Compared to the typical framework bridges for cooperating with the land currently designed and constructed integral bridges. Described the analysis of the load received this type of construction. Discussed national and international rules for determining earth pressure on the supporting wall. Drew attention to the rules for calculating diagonally located framework bridges. Discussed the structure cooperation with the ground by means of foundation piles. Presented an example of framework bridge analysis for the numerical model construction, taking loads and interpretation calculations results.

The paper presented the technical characteristics of the flyover over the marketplace in Chorzow city, built in seventies late. The construction of superstructure discussed. The condition of and damage the overpass described. The extent of structural reconstruction of the increase in capacity class object showed. The method for static calculations and design solutions adopted for, inter alia, strengthening span steel bands and external tendon and means of strengthening the supports presented. The short course of renovation work presented.
