The paper presents application different turbulence models to solve flat high Reynolds number air flow and surface heat transfer using turbulent boundary layer equations. Four of turbulence models were chosen to solve that problem: Baldwin-Barth's one equation model, Launder-Sharma's k-epsilon model and two of Wilcox's models: k - omega and tau - omega. The obtained results of numerical calculations were compared with experimental data available in literature, and showed in the pictures

The paper presents application different turbulence models to predict the separation point for flow pass a circular cylinder, with the boundary layer equations. Four of the turbulence models based on eddy viscosity, were chosen: Baldwin-Barth's one-equation model and three of two-equations models (k-epsilon Launder-Sharma's model, k - omega and tau - omega Wilkox's models). The obtained results of numerical calculations were compared with corresponding result of experimental work avaiable in the literature

The paper presents a theoretical-experimental method of determinate of heat transfer coefficient at internal and external surface of PEX-polyethylene pipe. In the analysis the turbulent exchange of momentum and heat at the inlet region of the circular pipe were taken into consideration. Moreover, in numerical calculations the measured values of parameters of the flow were used, particularly thermal boundary condition at the external surface of the pipe. The obtained results of numerical calculations were compared with corresponding results avaiable in literature, obtaining a high degree of their conformity.

Praca prezentuje rezultaty obliczeń numerycznych wykonanych dla przepływu przez rurę kołową wody i powietrza z wymianą ciepła. W obliczeniach uwzględniono trzy warianty zmian turbulentnej liczby Prandtla Pr1, po przekroju poprzecznym rury. Wyniki obliczeń porównano z dostępnymi wynikami badań doświadczalnych w literaturze.

The paper presents numerical calculations of turbulent exchange of momentum and heat in the flow of water at the inlet region of a circular pipe. The calculations are based on the low Reynolds number kappa-epsilon turbulence model, taking into account the changes of the turbulent Prandtl number Prt across the pipe. The obtained results of numerical calculations were compared with corresponding results of experimental work and other analytical ones avaiable in the literature. The comparative analysis of the numerical results and other, both experimental and theoretical ones, evidenced a high degree of their conformity.
