Laboratory of Chemical Tests and Instrumental Analysis is accredited by Polish Centre for Accreditation. To meet requirements of PN-EN ISO /IEC 17025:2005 standard "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" and Polish Centre for Accreditation required tests to validate applied chromatographic methods and assess of the uncertainty of the results were performed. For example, the data of validation and assessment of the uncertainty of the results obtained during determination of contents of pesticide δ-HCH by chromatographic metod were specified.

The methods of quantitative chemical analysis of mixtures textile materials depend on selective dissolving in suitable solvent the individual components of mixture. With decrease of mass of dissolved mixture of fibres, after regard the suitable corrections, the contents of individual components determine. These testings were led on real samples and on standard samples. The conducted investigations confirmed, that the determination the content of viscose in mixture with cotton (method of dissolving in soluton of chloride of zinc in formic acid in conditions: 40š2°C, 2,5 h) is the difficult procedure exacting the applying the reagents of high quality as well as very exact warnings of all conditions of process.

Przedstawiono stan zagadnienia oraz wymagania dotyczące oceny ekologiczności wyrobów obowiązujące w krajach Unii Europejskiej. Omówiono prowadzone w Instytucie Włókiennictwa prace w zakresie oceny zawartości związków znajdujących się na wyrobach włókienniczych, a uznanych za szkodliwe dla człowieka. Podano stopnie odzysku badanych związków w opracowanej przez Instytut metodyce ich oznaczania.

The current state and the requirements concerning ecological assessment of textile fabrics which are in force in European Union have been presented. The research works carried out at IW on the determination and evaluation of harmful for human being compounds contents in textile fabrics have been discussed. The recovery rate of examined chemical compounds applying test methodology developed at IW has been also presented.
