This article presents a Train on Railway Track simulation model and program developed by the authors. The model implements the module for multiple-criteria optimization with a set of proposed objective functions allowing reductions in train passing time, total costs, energy consumption, and adverse environmental impacts. The Train on Railway Track simulator has been developed to allow both the simulation itself and the ride optimization. The main achievement is the development of an algorithm that simulates the passage of a train over 500 km, the duration of which did not exceed two minutes. We present an analysis of the impact of model changes on the duration of the simulation and the accuracy of the results obtained. This allows the use of these achievements in simulations carried out for the railway, automotive, or aviation industries as well. Changes in the classical approach to optimization proposed by the authors made it possible to obtain results directly by solving classical systems of equations. The change in the approach to the optimization and system algorithm has reduced the operating time of the optimization system from thousands of simulations to a single simulation with an additional optimization process that takes several minutes to calculate. This article is a continuation of the description of the work performed, and basic information about the developed simulation model and software functionality is included in a separate publication [13].
Classic methods of stocktaking big game living in a given area have many disadvantages. The main result is the need to ensure appropriate terrain and weather conditions and also require the involvement of a large number of people, so-called observers. The development of technology makes it possible to create new stocktaking methods that will not have as many of the above-mentioned disadvantages, while reducing the cost of stocktaking and increasing its accuracy. This paper presents an analysis of the possibility of using unmanned aerial vehicles, so-called drones, in combination with the observation of game in the infrared wave range with the use of a thermal imaging camera. The paper presents the concept of such a solution, which will of course be further developed. Raids are planned with the use of thermal cameras over areas according to strictly defined transects and subjecting the obtained images to analysis, also with the use of artificial intelligence methods. This article was written as part of the PBL project carried out by a group of students from the Silesian University of Technology under the supervision of dr inż. Arkadiusz Boczkowski.
The article presents an analysis of the possibility of using a smartphone for sound recording and analysis in relation to reference measurements carried out with laboratory equipment. The scope of the possibility of using recordings by non-calibrated noise measurement (smartphones) was presented, along with limitations and additional requirements that must be met so that such a measurement could be used for further analysis.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę możliwości wykorzystania smartfonu do rejestracji i analizy dźwięku w odniesieniu do pomiarów referencyjnych przeprowadzonych sprzętem klasy laboratoryjnej. Przedstawiono zakres możliwości wykorzystania nagrań przez systemy niekalibrowane (smartfony) wraz z ograniczeniami i dodatkowymi wymaganiami, które należy spełnić, aby taki pomiar mógł zostać wykorzystany do dalszej analizy.
This article presents the results of studies on the impact of the percentage of copper in the carbon composite of the railway pantograph contact strips on the maximum temperatures of the contact wire of the overhead contact line. The tests were carried out in accordance with the requirements of standards [7, 9] and TSI [4]. The obtained relationship allows for an initial assessment of the introduced materials due to the contact wire heating criterion based on the copper content of the carbon composite, which greatly facilitates the design process and the initial assessment of the pantograph slides performance. This publication also indicates the minimum value of the percentage of copper at which the standard requirements [7] for railroad wire heating are still met.
