Content available remote Ocena pracy osadnika zrzutowych wód kopalnianych
PL

In the current article the test results of sedimentation of drop suspension, carried out on ,,Ziemowit" coal mine water, have been presented. Particles content mineralogy as well as suspension character in drop water on the inlet and the notch of the sediment trap have been determined. On the basis of granulo-metrical analysis of the suspension and its transformation, the brief foredesign and exploitation process of the sediment trap have been assessed. The range of the carried out tests included the assessment of mine waters suspension concentration as well as time needed for mine waste clearance by means of sedimentation velocity measurement and determination of the impact of sedimentation time on the content precipitate. The research results prove that the clarification process of mine water suspension in a clarifier takes place simultaneously with sedimentation of bigger particles and coagulation of the smallest ones. Suspension in drop water has clear polydispersional character and consists of three particle classes: 0-12,12-35, 35-160 žm, being in similar volumetric contents. In water suspension after two hours of sedimentation, 50% of particles of diameter d >10 žm as well as little amount of particles with d < 3 žm were identified. Clarifier's work was tested by determination of the particle content in suspension at the notch. In a properly working clarifier 90% of that suspension are particles of d < 9 žm. In the tested waters about 10% of those particles were not subjected to natural coagulation and without using coagulant or flocculant that part of material will be found in the notch waters. It was also found that there were the biggest particles in the notch from the clarifier, and that is a proof of disturbed flow of drop water stream. Disturbances in the clarifier's operation might be avoided by removing the collected sludge and ensuring a uniform flow by installing flowing barriers that stop turbulent surface flow.
