The article presents the results of determinations of selected physical properties of wood pellets produced by industrial manufacturers. Compared some physical properties of solid biofuels assessed (moisture content, length and particle density) and rated their impact on bulk density and mechanical durability of pellets. Stated a significant effect of unit density pellets on bulk density and little effect of unit density pellets and length on mechanical durability of pellets. Changes in moisture content as received in the range of 6-9% did not influence of the mechanical durability of pellets.
