Links dimension optimization approach in a three mass system of multi cylinder internal combustion engine

The presented paper defines the relations between the inertial and elastic characteristics of the links of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine and the load existing in them. The differential equations defining the system motion are derived and forrnulas for the maximaI torsion load torques of the engine crankshaft are obtained. Quality criteria are established which define a diagram which gives an opportunity for choice of a relative and respectively real dimension in the process of designing a new engine.

W artykule przedstawiono relację pomiędzy bezwładnościowymi i wytrzymałościowymi charakterystykami elementów wału korbowego wielocylindrowego silnika spalinowego i jego obciążeniem. Przedstawiono równania różniczkowe opisujące ruch tego układu i wyprowadzono wzory na maksymalny moment skrętny wału korbowego silnika. Ustalono kryteria jakościowe i sporządzono wykres, który daje możliwość wstępnego wymiarowania elementów w trakcie projektowania nowego silnika.
