Wielu uczestników tegorocznych Targów METAL 2002 wyraziło opinię, że "coś drgnęło i jest lepiej niż w ubiegłym roku". Natomiast trwale wyraziło to spostrzeżenie polskie przedstawicielstwo FOSECO, nanosząc na okładkę katalogu targowego wyraźne optymistyczne zdanie ,.Przyszłość już się zaczęła...". W tym roku obok podstawowej tematyki targów METAL, przybyły jeszcze dwie wystawy traktujące o przetwórstwie i zastosowaniu stopów metali nieżelaznych - NONFERMET, oraz o przemysłowej technice pomiarowej - CONTROLTECH. W stosunku do ubiegłego roku zwiększyła się wyraźnie liczba uczestników zagranicznych. W Targach uczestniczyła również delegacja odlewników z Ukrainy. Odbywającemu się IV Kongresowi Polskiego Odlewnictwa poświęcono odrębny artykuł w tym zeszycie.

A lot of participants of this year Fair "METAL 2002" expressed their opinions that something had been done and that it was better than the last year". However, this remark has been lastingly expressed by the Polish agency of FOSECO on the cover of the Fair catalogue by a clearly optimistic sentence "The future has already started...". This year, apart from the basic problems of the Fair "METAL 2002", there were two new exhibitions, namely: NONFERMET dealing with the processing and application of non-ferrous metals, and CONTROLTECH concerning the industrial measuring techniques. In comparison with the year 2001 the number of the foreign participants distinctly increased in the year 2002. A delegation of the foundrymen from Ukraine took also part in the Fair "METAL 2002". A separate article is dedicated to the IV Congress of the Polish Foundry Practice, which was then being held.

Organizowane już po raz siódmy przez Centrum Targowe Kielce Międzynarodowe Targi Odlewnictwa METAL 2001 są największą w Polsce imprezą targową branży odlewniczej, a także jedną z ważniejszych w Europie. W tegorocznych Targach wzięło udział 244 wystawców z 18 państw, z czego ponad 100 stanowiły firmy zagraniczne. W większości wystawcy oferowali urządzenia odlewnicze, materiały i surowce stosowane w odlewnictwie, nowoczesne technologie znajdujące zastosowanie w produkcji odlewów, a także środki transportu oraz magazynowanie. Po raz pierwszy Odlewnicza Izba Gospodarcza zorganizowała stoisko wystawców odlewów w hali B, gdzie kilkunastu krajowych producentów przedstawiło ciekawe przykłady odlewów pod względem konstrukcji, a także zastosowanych tworzyw. Targom towarzyszyły konferencje i seminaria traktujące o istotnych problemach, takich jak procesy krzepnięcia i krystalizacji metali, symulacja procesów odlewniczych, regeneracja mas formierskich i rdzeniowych, zastosowanie transportu pneumatycznego w odlewniach, nowa oferta modernizacji odlewni. Obok tych zagadnień naukowych oraz praktycznych z dziedziny produkcji odlewów, zagadnienia ekonomiczne w odlewnictwie były przedmiotem seminarium i konferencji prasowej z udziałem dr. Klausa Urbata, sekretarza generalnego CAEF (Komitetu Zrzeszeń Europejskich Odlewni). Przedstawiono wyróżnionych wystawców w kategorii: materiały dla odlewnictwa, nowe techniki wspomagające odlewnictwo, a także za aranżację stoisk.

The already for the seventh time organized by the Trade Center Kielce International Fair for Foundry METAL 2001 is the greatest fair performance for the foundry branch in Poland and also one of the more important in Europe. 244 exhibitors from 18 countries from which more than 100 were foreign firms participated in this year's fair. The majority of the exhibitors offered foundry equipment, materials and raw materials used in foundry industry, modem technologies finding their application in the production of castings as well as means of transport and storage. For the first time the Foundry Economic Chamber organized a stand for the exhibitors of castings in Hall B, where a dozen or so of the Polish producers displayed interesting examples of castings considering their design and the applied materials. Conferences and seminars, which were organized during the Fair, dealt with such important problems as processes of solidification and crystallization of metals, simulation of foundry processes, reclamation of moulding and core sands, as well as application of pneumatic transport in foundries and a new offer of foundries modernization. Apart from these scientific and practical problems from the domain of the production of castings, economic problems with which foundry industry must cope with were a topic of the seminar and the press conference with the participation of dr Klaus Urbat, the general secretary of C AEF (Committe of the Associations of European Foundries). The distinguished exhibitors in the categories of materials for foundry industry, new techniques to aid foundry practice, and also for the arrangement of the stands are presented.

Przegląd Odlewnictwa wpisał się skutecznie w promocję Międzynarodowych Targów Odlewnictwa METAL już od pierwszej ich edycji w 1995 roku. Dlatego nasze uczestnictwo w sesji jubileuszowej Przeglądu Odlewnictwa organizowanej właśnie w Centrum Targowym w Kielcach jest dla nas dużą satysfakcją. Poza skutecznymi krajowymi kontaktami Przeglądu Odlewnictwa, również kontakty z czasopismami zagranicznymi okazały się korzystne w promowaniu Targów METAL, które z roku na rok gromadzą coraz więcej wystawców zarówno z Polski jak i z zagranicy. W 1995 roku wystąpiło 75 firm z Polski i z zagranicy, natomiast już w 1999 roku blisko 250 firm z piętnastu krajów na całkowitej powierzchni ok. 5000 m2. Ponad sto firm reprezentuje liczące się kraje europejskie oraz USA. Targi odwiedza blisko pięć tysięcy fachowców zainteresowanych tematyką wystawienniczą. Centrum Targowe Kielce jako trzeci ośrodek targowy w Polsce z roku na rok umacnia swoją pozycję na rynku targowym. Co roku obiekty targowe są wzbogacone o nowe inwestycje, które przyczyniają się do zwiększenia możliwości ekspozycji dużych urządzeń, a także do stworzenia komfortowych warunków pracy wystawców i gości targowych.

Przegląd Odlewnictwa contributed efficiently to the promotion of the International Foundry Fair METAL since its first edition in the year 1995. Therefore our participation in the jubilee session of Przegląd Odlewnictwa organized just at the Fair Center in Kielce is for us a great satisfaction. Apart from the effective local contacts of Przeglad Odlewnictwa, the contacts with foreign journals proved to be favourable in promoting METAL Fair, which from year to year gathers more and more exhibitors both from Poland and abroad. In the year 1995 only 75 firms from Poland and abroad participated in the Fair, whereas in 1999 there were 250 firms from fifteen countries occupying the total area of about 5000 m2. More than 100 firms represent important European countries and the USA. The Fair is visited by nearly 5000 specialists interested in the exhibited subject matter. From year to year the Fair Center in Kielce - as the third one in Poland - strengthens its position on the fair market. Each year the Fair objects are enriched by new investments which contribute to the possibilities of exposing large equipment and also to create comfortable work conditions for the exhibitors and the Fair guests.

Odbywajace się w dniach 20-22 września 2000 r. Targi zgromadziły blisko 300 firm z 15 krajow, których ekspozycja zajęła blisko 5 tys. m kw. Taigi METAL poświęcone branży odlewniczej w przeważającej części gromadzą wystawców dostarczających urzadząnia, materiały i surowce dla odlewnictwa, a jak dotąd w mniejszej części oferujących odlewy dla ich konsumentów. Należą one do ważniejszych tego typu targów w Europie. W czasie Targów odbywała się również 41. Międzynarodowa Konferencja Naukowa pt.: "Krzepnięcie i Krystalizacja Metali - 2000", której organizatorem był prof. Stanisław Jura z Politechnik Śląskiej, obchodący wówczas 50-lecie swojej pracy naukowej. Zorganizowane przez Instytut Odlewnictwa w Krakowie seminarium nt. małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw odlewniczych spotkało się z dużym zainteresowaniem. W drugim dniu Targów odbyło się okolicznościowe seminarium z okazji 50-lecia działalności "Przeglądu Odlewnictwa".

The Fair, which was held on 20-22 September 2000, gathered almost 300 firms from 15 countries. Their display covered approximately 5000 m2. The Fair for Foundry METAL 2000 refers to foundry trade and for the most part gathers the exhibitors delivering installations, materials and raw materials to foundries and in a smaller part those who offer castings to their consumers. It belongs to the more important Fair of this type in Europe. During the Fair the 41st International Scientific Conference under the title "Solidification and Crystalization of Metals" took place. It was organized by Prof. Stanistaw Jura from the Technical University of Silesia, who celebrated then the 50th anniversary of his scientific work and activities. The seminar concerning small and medium-sized foundry enterprises, organized by the Foundry Research Institute, aroused great interest. On the second day of the Fair the circumstantial seminar on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the activities of PRZEGLAD ODLEWNICTWA (Foundry Review) was held.
