Rheological properties of raw and activated dye thickeners were compared. Activation was conducted by means of mechanical mixing with rotation frequencies 30s [-1] and 250s [-1]. It was found that intensive mechanical treatment of thickener solution lowers itsyield point and storage modulus, by this same improves the properties of final dyes. The possibility of broad control of thickener properties and their adaptation to process needs was also shown.
