In this paper the experimental verification of the stand construction based on requirements of the new norm PN-ISO-5801-2002, obligated since 2002 year in Poland and adapted to investigation of the set containing cross flow fan and heat exchanger as well as confirmation the choice of applied method has been presented.

In theis paper the experimental stand designed for the investigations of the system consisted of cross flow fan and heat exchanger has been presented. The installation has been constructed according to the International standard ISO 5801 "Industrial fans. Experimental works of characteristics on normalized systems", 1997. Selected elements of the main importance of experimental stand as well as this construction and application has been described. Some of the innovative solutions will be verified experimentally. The investigations of thermal - flow characteristics of the system cross flow fan - heat exchanger will be carried out using the proposed stand

In this paper the procedure of measurement as well as the method of calculation of selected quantities for the cross flow fan - heat exchanger system performance, according to the UE rules, have been proposed. Some assumptions simplifying very complicated formulas should be verified experimentally studying the whole system and its main elements
