The time of energy wars and rise in the cost of traditional energy resources make it necessary to review the available means of heating in favor of using alternative sources of thermal energy. One of the most promising sources is solar radiation, since it's free and available everywhere. However, the conversion of solar energy and its further use are associated with a range of problems that includes solving complex engineering problems, an individual approach to a variety of conditions and a point implementation.

V stat’e privedeny rezul’taty analiza poroga ekonomiceskoj celesoobraznosti ekspluatacii teplovych elektrostancij, kotoryj pozvolaet opredelit’ ekonomiceski obosnovannye sroki podlenia raboty TES, a takze pokazyvaet rentabel’nyj uroven’ zatrat topliva na vyrabotku elektriceskoj energii. Vo vtoroj casti stat’i privedeny techniko-ekonomiceskie pokazateli vnedrenia castotnych preobrazovatelej dla pitatel’nych elektronasosov, kak odin iz celesoobraznych sposobov modernizacii TES.

This article presents the results of the economic feasibility analysis of the threshold operation of thermal power plants (TPP). The determination of an economic feasibility threshold makes it possible to estimate an economically reasonable extension of TPP lifetime and shows reasonable fuel cost level for electricity generation. The second part of the article shows the technical and economic performance of an introduction of frequency converters for feeding pump as one of the appropriate methods of modernization of TPP.
