To obtain highly magnetostrictive films with high permeability and resistivity, composite films consisting of amorphous Fe[80]B[20] alloys and PMMA plastics were prepared using a combined technique of electrochemical deposition and spin-on process. The plating conditions of amorphous FeB films were first studied in detail. The study showed that the alloy film can be prepared with a good reproducibility by employing the plating conditions as follows: Bath composition is FeSO[4]-71.9 mM, KBH[4]-296.6 mM, NaOH-400 mM, and C[4]H[4]KNaO[6]-318.9 mM. Bath temperature is 35 degree C, and the current density is 3.33 [A/dm^2]. The composite films prepared by the combined technique with these conditions and the spin-on process showed the coercivity of the films less than 10 Oe.
