String theory-borne Brane Worlds offer new insights into the field theoretical problem, known as the hierarchy problem, of explaining relations between various mass scales appearing in Nature. Gravity plays an active role in the dynamics of these models and modifies in an observable manner physics of electroweak and strong interactions. Theories with extra dimensions, along with supersymmetry, are presently the two most actively studied subjects in the physics reaching beyond the Standard Model.
