Strategy of prospecting, exploration and development of hydrocarbon fields in the Republic of Belarus is closely connected with the current state of hydrocarbon resource base. Reserve recovery of the fields that provide main oil production reaches 80=90%. More than 64% of the remaining recoverable reserves are presented by hard-to-recover reserves. Growth of re- serves by means of exploration makes up for annual production only by 50-70%. In this respect main task in the area of exploration works is improvement of geological exploration efficiency by means of application of advanced technologies and non-conventional for Belarusian region approaches to selection and evaluation of prospecting and exploration directions. In the area of field development main task is large-scale implementation of new technologies for production activation and oil recovery enhancement by 10=15% of hard-to-recover reserves. Approaches to solving these problems are shown.
Taking into consideration continuous reserve structure degradation, difficult extracted reserves annual increasing, it is necessary to examine more thoroughly the mechanics of formation fluids moving, especially after active development termination. One of the main tasks of modern oil and gas producing соmрlех is to work with discovered and developed oilfield with residual formation reserves, and to look for the new ways of their development. Studying this рrоblem, it was gathered an extensive amount of geologic field information of Byelorussian, Russian and other countries oilfields, that prove perceptiveness of abandoned flooded wells and fields retuning with their further secondary development. To prove the possibility of residual oil reserves redistribution in the formation, there were performed several tests with carbonate core samples in oil reservoir bedding structure with the help of sand packed tubes and filtration manifold in water-oil displacement, and also mathematic simulation method of water-oil saturation redistribution process.
