The Demyanov metric in the family of convex, compact sets in finite dimensional spaces has been recently extended to the family of convex, bounded sets – not necessarily closed. In this note it is shown that these spaces are not complete and a model for the completion is proposed. A full answer is given in R2 and the situation in higher dimensions is discussed.

The problem of existence of adjoint functions to boundary solutions is considered – it depends on the geometry of the attained set at the end point. This is applied to prove the smoothness of boundary solutions in the case of strictly convex right-hand side of di.erential inclusion which in turn permitts to show the smoothness of barrier solutions on semipermeable surfaces.

We give a sufficient condition for equality of sets of trajectories of two differential inclusions with right-hand sides Borel measurable with respect to the state variable, not necessarily bounded and possibly containing the origin.

This paper describes a foundation for the new class of computer systems components. It is shown that future logie circuits will be created using tools and technologies taken from modern supramolecular chemistry. New molecules will be designed and then synthesized to create advanced molecular computers. In such a computer all calculations will be preformed using the interaction between various molecules. The presented framework is used to show construction of sample molecular adder.

The content of papers presented at ICF7 on power ferrites is discussed with the stress on the following topics: market and applications, raw materials, basic chemical composition and additives, preparation of granulate, sintering process. Magnetisation mechanisms with special emphasis on power loss issues are discussed as well.

In spite of relatively low saturation induction, ferrites are widely used as magnetic cores in power electronics devices. This two parts paper reviews a series of technological problems related to power ferrites. In the part I one discusses the ways aiming at lowering the power loss and achieving strongly and monotonously decreasing characteristics of power loss vs. temperature at high magnetic excitations within frequency range of (10-1OO) kHz and temperatures from +25°C to +100°C. The data from many publications are taken. Components of the power loss are discussed in connection with material parameters and the conditions in which the ferrites are used and/or measured. The possibilities of obtaining intrinsic material features giving effect to the power loss level and its dependence on frequency, induction and temperature are discussed.
