Nauczanie na odległość zyskuje coraz większą ilość sympatyków i to nie tylko dzięki swojej funkcjonalności. Dynamiczny rozwój Internetu spowodował przeniesienie przekazywania wiadomości na duże odległości do zupełnie nowego wymiaru. Zostały opracowane odpowiednie strategie oraz metody podnoszące efektywność takiego sposobu przekazywania wiedzy. Programiści, wykorzystując różnorodne technologie, stworzyli i ciągle tworzą platformy wspomagające edukację na odległość. W Polsce także, jak i w wielu krajach świata, powstaje wiele ośrodków propagujących taką metodę kształcenia. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu, biorąc udział w programie Okno, przeprowadzili własne badania, w wyniku których powstał między innymi model "Bazy Wykładów". Jest on nie tylko bazą wykładów udostępnianych przez Internet, ale przede wszystkim systemem za pomocą, którego można prowadzić nauczanie na odległość.

Distant learning gains more and more supporters not only thanks to its functionality. Dynamie expansion of Internet caused transformation of methods of communication to the new dimension. Appropriate strategies were developed to increase the efficiency of mentioned way of knowledge transition. Programmers, using wide rangę of technologies, are still developing applications, which support e-learning. In Poland and all over the world a lot of distant education institutions arę coming into existence. Authors of this article, taking part in program "Okno", realised their own research in result of which the "Lecture Base" model was made. It is not only the base of lectures available through the Internet but most of all system that can be independent in providing distant learning.

Combat operations, even conducting tasks in peace missions is always connected with the threat of losing life or health. Death and injuries, and in the defence need, the necessity to kill are one of the basic combat determinants. In spite of this, soldiers’ psychological preparation to these extraordinary, in peacetime, events is seldom included into soldier’s training process. The article attempts to approximate this preparation general principles in a study published by the Centre of Bundeswehre Inner Command. The authors, relating to this publication, discuss the tasks and contents of the activity of this kind in the German army. They include such issues as: psychological conditions of soldiers’ behaviour in extreme situations, their possible mental reactions and superior’s behaviour informing about death. The authors provide some of the methodological and organisational suggestions which can be found in the publication mentioned above.

Although one faces various stresses every day, one usually copes with emotional tensions caused by them. If the strength or contents of stressful feelings exceeds ordinary human experience, adaptation mechanisms that have worked so far are not satisfactory. Apart from natural reactions to stress, it is possible to appear characteristic disorders (PTSD) which significantly handicap or even make normal social functioning impossible. The article discusses basic diagnostic criteria of post-traumatic reactions and disorders and also methods to counteract the effects of extreme stress applied in many armies. Reconstructing and experiencing again a traumatical situation in secure conditions appears to be an effective way to ease the effects of trauma. The technique called Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), discussed by the authors, which is applied as quickly as possible after the extreme stressful incidents serves this purpose. This technique is commonly used to soldiers performing their tasks in peace missions. General principles of probable further treatment of potential stress victims have been discussed basing on Bundeswehre’s medical services experiences.
