Konsekwentne wdrażanie zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju stwarza warunki dla rozwiązywania problemów odpadów, z uwzględnieniem odpowiedzialności za przyszłość, a nie tylko za przeszłość i dzień dzisiejszy. Problem odpadów, wymaga ponadto, nowego podejścia i tworzenia nowych struktur, zastępujących dotychczasowe surowce, a zapewniających produkcję wymaganej jakości energii i dóbr materialnych. Stan i propozycje nowych rozwiązań w zakresie problemów odpadów omówiono na przykładzie kompleksu paliwowo-energetycznego i przeróbki drewna.

A consequent implementation of the sustainable development principles creates conditions for solving waste problems taking into account also the responsibility for the future and not only for the past and present. In addition, the problem of wastes requires a new approach and developing new structures that would replace the present raw materials while ensuring production of energy of the demanded quality and material goods.The article discusses the present state and alternative new solutions in the area of waste problems on the example of a fuel-energy complex and wood processing.
