The data on detonation and explosive hazards of methane in a wide range of its concentration in mixtures with oxygen and air, and diluted by inert gases are presented. The critical energy of directet initiation of a multiheaded detonation wave is accepted as the main criterial parameter of detonation hazard of gaseous mixtures. The main hazard parameters were calculated with the help of the <> Computer Program. Calculated results are in good agreement with experimental data.

The data on detonation and explosive hazards of ammonia in a wide range of its concentration in mixtures with oxygen, air and nitrous oxide are presented. The critical energy of direct initiation of a multifront detonation wave is accepted as criterial parameter of detonation hazards of gaseous mixtures. The main hazard parameters were calculated with the help of the <> Computer Program.

The new criterion of detonation initiation is proposed: critical initiation energy E is equal to work of extending detonation products on layer length equal to the longitudinal cell size b of multifront detonation. Initial layer radius R gets as diffraction radius of detonation wave (diffraction on right angle) in the moment of collision of an axial rarefaction waves up to a gas charge axis. The formulas for the critical initiation energies for plane, cylindrical and spherical detonation waves are received. Calculated results ar well correlated with correct experimental data.
