The sol-gel technology provides a relatively simple and cheap method of production of submicron-sized powders. Also, due to its wet-chemistry character doping and chemical modifications of such powders are fairly straightforward. Enables it obtaining various active powders for a broad possible variety of applications.

Większość komercyjnych reometrów może generować tylko płnięcie ścinające, jednak w wielu procesach przemysłowych i aplikacjach płynięcie jest zdominowane przez procesy rozciągające. Jako typowe przykłady można wymienić produkcję włókien, a także powlekanie i napełnianie żywnością lub artykułami drogeryjnymi butelek. W niniejsztm artykule przedstawimy technikę pomiarów przy rozciąganiu i kilka zastosowań tej techniki pomiarowej w przemyśle.

While most commercial rheometers are capable of generating only shear flows, it is a fact that in many industrial processes and applications the flow is predominantly estensional in naure. Typical examples of thistype of flow are fiber spinning, paper coating, extrusion and the filling of food or toiletriesin bottles etc. In this paper, we present the technique of capilary breakup rheometry and discuss a few application of the technique to solve a real world industrial problem.

A modified method is presented for the determination of natural and artificial isotopes in building raws and materials using multichannel gamma-ray spectrometry. A procedure is given for the preparation of standards as well as for the determination of radioisotopes content in typical building raws and/or materials. Results of these determinations were compared with those from standard, tri-channel gamma spectrometry described in Instruction No. 234/95 [2] issued by the Institute of Building Technology in Warsaw, Poland.
