Artykuł zawiera informację o podjętych pracach nad nowelizacją ustawy Prawo geologiczne i górnicze, trybie prowadzonych prac i głównych kierunkach zmian niezbędnych do dostosowania przepisów Prawa geologicznego i górniczego do całego porządku prawnego, w tym do konstytucji RP i innych aktów ustawowych, do prawa Unii Europejskiej. Prezentuje także najistotniejsze propozycje nowych rozwiązań.

In the publication presented are the projected directions of modification of Geological and Mining Law aimed at adaptation of the latter to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland as regards the sources of law, with taking into account of the solutions contained in provision of the Act of September 4, 1997 on the sectors of Government Administration. In particular, this pertains to adapting the law to the reform of Government and local selfgovernment administration, now underway, to the need consistency with thr relevant solutions contained in the later passed Acts, to a full adaptation to the European Union's law.
