In bolt assembly process by hydraulic tensioning on structural members, the final clamping force is to be controlled with accuracy. The ratio of desired clamping force to the initial tension applied by a hydraulic tensioner is named "effective tensile coefficient". This important coefficient depends on various design factors among which the stiffness of the nut is preponderant.
