Przedstawiono dane statystyczne globalnego i jednostkowego zużycia energii w krajach Europy zachodniej i wschodniej w ostatnim 20-leciu. Na przykładzie nowo zbudowanych bloków energetycznych w niektórych krajach UE pokazano również aktualny stan techniki, a także mechanizm działania rynku energii

The article presents statistic data concerning global and unit energy consumption in the West- and East-European countries over the recent 20 years.. The data show a wide gap between development levels of power industry sectors in the mentioned groups of countries. Newly built power units in some countries have been presented to illustrate present state of technology as well as energy market operation mechanisms.
