On the basis of in-situ measurements and computer-aided modelling of the water-pipe network in Jelenia Góra,the values of the parameters describing the real wall roughness of cast-iron and steel pipes in service were determined.The data sets obtained were subject to statistical analysis to quantify the effect of service time,pipe diameter and maximum flow velocity in the pipes during 24 hours on the specific wall roughness values.
