Istotny cel: stworzenie i rozpowszechnienie sieci inteligentnych staje się pilnym globalnym priorytetem z uwagi na wynikające stąd korzyści ekonomiczne, środowiskowe i społeczne. Zasadniczym elementem wizji takich sieci jest synergia technik informatycznych i komunikacyjnych, gdyż staje się niezbędne dla współczesnych sektorów elektroenergetyki, zapewniając dwukierunkowy przepływ, szybkiej wykrywając i usuwając zakłócenia, ułatwiając integrację w sieci oraz dostarczając producentowi/konsumentowi narzędzi dla optymalizacji procesów sterowania i zarządzania energią.

The substantial task: developing and proliferation of the smart-grid (SG) concept become an urgent global priority as its economic, environmental and social benefits. At the core of the SG vision are synergy information and communication technologies (ICT) as they will be necessity in contemporary power sectors supporting two-way energy and information flow, sensing and restoring power disturbances more quickly facilitating the integration into the grid and empowering the consumer/producer with tools for optimizing they energy control and management.
